The Celebration for Richmond First UMC's 125th Anniversary was held Sunday Oct 19, 2025 with Pastor Eun-Joo Myung hosting Bishop Sandra Olewine who gave the sermon, Retired Pastor Dan Damon who performed his hymn commemorating the Anniversary, Retired Pastor Betsy Schwarzentraub, who served the church 1975-77, & Bonnie Jo Cullison, Pres. of the Pt. Richmond History Assoc, who also gave remarks. Three new members were received into the church & many members & friends, some from FL & TX, attended the celebration. A delicious lunch followed the service. It was indeed a Joyful Celebration!

Another Wonderful Father's Day Jazz Service today, a beautiful tradition at First United Methodist Church, Richmond, CA (Richmond First UMC) with the Dan Damon Quartet, led by our retired pastor & acclaimed hymnwriter Daniel Charles Damon on piano, Kurt Ribak at the upright bass, Lincoln Adler on saxophone, & Carrie Jahde on drums, with soloists Sheila Alix, Bethany Reynolds & Gill Stanfield. We enjoyed a delicious lunch together with Pastor Eun-Joo Myung at the parsonage after the service with our church family & many community friends. Thanks to All!
