Full house for Sunday Mass at the EKU Newman Ctr with so many sticking around for Sunday Supper. Gonna have to make room for more tables if we keep this up!! Thank you to the Catholic Daughters, Knights of Columbus and Dcn Tony for providing our first Sunday Supper of the new school year!! Eucharistic Adoration Monday, 7pm - 9pm at the Newman Center. All are welcome!

There is no denying that our EKU campus is on the northern edge of the Bible belt and we encounter students that didn’t even realize we had a Catholic Church and vibrant community on campus. 40 of these signs sprinkled around campus… you can’t miss that bright yellow. I think they will find out! The Newman Foundation awarded us a $500 grant to purchase these yard signs and a set for Ash Wednesday! They will know we are Christian by our love. They will know we are Catholics when they see a yard sign! 😆

It’s been a busy first few days for our Newman Ctr students. Following the Saturday evening block party, we had close to a full house for Sunday Mass. Immediately after Mass, students stuck around to make a “family style dinner” as well as baked goodies and wrote personal notes to share with our students for their first day of classes. On Wednesday the students worked “Colonel Craze” on campus meeting students.

There is something wonderful when the students return to campus and are excited to gather for an evening of pizza, popsicles, and outdoor games. Happy to see old friends and welcome new ones.
