Divas By Divine Design D.I.V.A.S. Awakening the D.I.V.A.S. started in 2008 as daily devotionals sent to over 100 women via email. However, we are back! All are welcome!

by Divine Design is an organization of Christian women from across the country originally operated by the Nia Imani Christian Center - Pastor/ Elder Rose. Later, we moved to telephone conferences and then to Zoom. From 2010 through our last session winter 2021, five devout females participated the entire time! Prayer for the week of 11/24/2025:

Jehovah Jireh, God my Provider, thank you for giving us yet another day to become all that you have called us to be. I come before you as humbly as I know how, interceding on behalf of our people. These are perilous times we are living in when your people may have been (or still are) without food, a job, transportation, or housing all because of the actions of others. Although your Word promises that you will give us what we need, as well as hope for the future...when our children are hungry, our health deteriorating, or the eviction notice looms...it may be difficult for us to remember all the times in the past that you have made a way for us out of no way. When we cannot see what tomorrow holds and the sacrifices seem unbearable, Holy Spirit ignite our faith to remind us that you not only see us, but you see our future...a future full of hope as children of the most high God. Like you provided a ram in the bush for Abraham, you gave your son as a sacrifice for our sins. Remind us that even if you do not always remove the storm, you can and will provide a way for us to not only weather the storm, but for us to come out victoriously. With each new day, give us the desire to continually seek your face and learn more about your will and your way. Holy Spirit strengthen us to hold on a little longer until our help comes. And in the meantime, let praise be on our lips, love in our hearts, and peace in our minds. It is in the mighty name of Yeshuah I pray, Amen,

Week of June 9, 2025

Dear Jehovah Rapha, the Lord Who Heals,

Thank you, for being there to meet all of our needs. Thank you for loving us regardless of whatever we do. Thank you for healing us of our pains, illnesses, diseases, and mental challenges. Lord, we know that our healing is made possible by you and through you despite sometimes using physicians to assist. Without you, physicians may only provide addressing of symptoms, but real healing only comes through you and the knowledge that you give others. Lord, to you be all the glory and honor.

Thanks for giving us the wisdom to use natural means to heal, as well using those you have called and trained to do conventional treatments. Give us discernment regarding what approach is best for our individual situations. Holy Spirit, speak to us to guide us on the path to travel. Lord, help us to listen and pray over all decisions to be made. You are the great physician, the physician above all physicians so we put our trust in you. With you, despite what happens, we have hope for the future.

We also pray for healing of our nation, our people, and communities all over the world. Lord, may your people return to you in both spirit and in truth. Not in religiosity or words. Not in leaning on our own self-motivated notions, but in ways that line up to your will and your way. As Christians, let us be followers of Christ in our beliefs, motives, and actions. Period! None of us are perfect, we acknowledge that; however, when people see us may they see our savior. Convict us, oh Lord, until we represent you properly. We know that there are consequences to all of our actions until we do so. Let us not make assumptions about how you give us favor or the dispensation of your grace and mercy.

It is in the precious name of Yeshuah that we pray, Amen.

Good morning,
El Deah, the God of Knowledge. As we begin another week we are reminded of your perfect knowledge. We acknowledge that far too often we rely on our own personal knowledge as if it is complete and unlimited. However, only you have total knowledge of everything and all things. Forgive us for all the times we did not come to you seeking answers, seeking the truth, or even seeking information on our next steps. A truly wise person knows, our knowledge is limited. We’ve been cautioned not to rely on our own understanding, but to acknowledge you and you will direct our path. During these perilous times, we turn to you. It may be hard for us to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but you know what is happening and what is coming. So, in faith we rely on not what can be seen, heard, or felt, but your promise of knowing the plans you have for us, you declared, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give us a future and a hope. In the precious name of Yeshua we pray, Amen.

Dear Shub Nephesh, God the Renewer of Life,
As I start this week, and look forward to everyday for the rest of the week, I want to thank you for waking me up this morning bright and early to see your sun rise in the sky. You gave me a peaceful and sound night’s sleep that allowed my body to restore, recover, and renew. Each and every day is an opportunity for me to get recharged and move forward towards the goals you have set for me. From the moment you breathed life into my body you showed your love for me. Then, you gave your Son’s life for my life letting me know how eternal and great is your love. During these unsettling times, I am reminded that being a believer does not prevent weapons from being formed against, but your Word confirms that they will not prosper! So, I must press on toward the mark of the high calling by keeping my eyes focused on you. You have given me the Holy Spirit who renews my mind, body, spirit, and soul. Shub Nephesh, I thank you for my continued renewal and pray for the new creation you are working for others...including in those I call my enemy. Your Word says nothing is impossible through Yeshuah. Renew me, Lord! Renew them, Lord! Renew us, Lord! Let not our eyes focus on man, but on the Alpha and Omega. The true and only King of Kings, and Lord of Lords! Hallelujah! Week of 4/14/2025

Jehovah Qadash, the Lord who sanctifies us…the Lord who makes us holy. Thank you for loving us even when we make mistakes, speak unkindly, and do things that are not in your will or your way. It is truly by your grace and your mercy that we have the opportunity to live another day to make corrections and to become who you have called us to be. You have given your Word which provides a plan for how we should live our lives. In your infinite love, you have given your son for the remission of our sin. Your word says that nothing can separate us from your love. Hallelujah! And, you have given the Holy Spirit to guide us as we travel this journey on earth.

As Jehovah Qadash, this means that you are He who has begun a good work in us and will carry it through completion until the day of Yeshuah. Give us wisdom on how to use all the resources you have given us to become more Christlike for we desire others to see Him in us. Please continue to bless us as we grow in our relationship with you, use our spiritual gifts in the building of your kingdom, and cultivate an abundance of fruits of the spirit. As you sanctify us, we hope to hear you say one day, well done good and faithful servant! In the precious name of Yeshuah we pray, Amen.

Weekly Prayer 4/8/2025

Shaphat, judge of all the world, I come before you as humble as I know how to acknowledge and remember that you are the one who has the final say in everything. Yes, you give us free will to make decisions and live our lives and unfortunately because of that we act as if we are in control. We live like we are in control and out of your will. We do and say things that are not just harmful to us but are harmful to others. We mistakenly believe that when we get away with one thing, we can get away with another. We take your grace and your mercy for granted. Forgive us, Lord!

You are a wise and all-seeing God. Nothing that happens on this earth is hidden from you including the motives of our hearts. Thank you for promising to give us hope and a future. Although the ultimate battle is yours, there are things for us to do. Holy Spirit, please speak to us and let us know when, where, and why we should be silent. Let us know which weapons to use on any given day as we face the adversary.

In the meantime, we await your vindication…your justice. We thank you for promising to protect and keep us as you rule over all that is going on in this world. We are reminded to render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God, what belongs to God. We belong to YOU! And, Shapath, I know that you got us as there is no one wiser than you…no one with more power than you…no one who will not lie to us like you won't do…no one who loves us more than you! Consequently, we will be cautious and try everything by the spirit, but we will not worry. In the precious name of Yeshuah, I pray, Amen.

Yahweh Nissi, the Lord My Banner, thank you for being an ever-present help. Your banner over me lets the world know that I belong to you and because of that I represent all that is your will and your way. It also means that wherever I go and wherever I am, you are with me. Seeing your banner reminds me that I am never alone and that as your child you have me covered. You are the reason that no matter how fierce the battle may have been, I woke up this morning with joy in my heart. I know that having your banner means that the troops of our Christian army rally together under the banner. We fight together knowing that ultimately victory is ours! As Christians under the Lord’s righteous banner, we all fight on the same side based on your teachings, not our individual beliefs or desires, but based in your Word. Lord, let the words of our mouths, our deeds and our actions, as well as the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in your sight our Lord for you are our strength and redeemer. Let your banner shine brightly above me so that when people see me coming, they know without a doubt that I am one of yours. In the precious name of Yeshuah I pray, Amen.

Weekly Prayer - 3/17/2025

Jehovah Uzzi, the Lord My Strength, oh how I need you. I know that I cannot operate on my own strength alone. Even when things fall in place, when things are going well, when the sun shines ever so brightly, I recognize that I still need you for you provide my soft landing, make my path straight, and set the sun in the sky. However, in these recent days…the need for your strength becomes more evident. In a chaotic world where so many hardships are being unduly and unnecessarily placed on your people, my spirit starts to wane, dark clouds appear on the horizon, and the mind is perplexed about the insanity at hand. Jehovah Uzzi, make me strong because you are the only source for me to overcome the weariness of this world and to live a life where I can resist the temptation of sin. Only in you can I do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine because of the power you have at work within me! Thank you, Jehovah Uzzi, for your strength that helps me to not just make it through today, but that will carry me through this week. In the precious name of Yeshuah, I pray. Amen.
