Sometimes faithful parenting isn't about having the power to control outcomes, but having the courage to release-trusting that God remains with our children even when they are far beyond our reach.

This Sunday, we confronted difficult texts that speak directly to the anxiety of modern caregiving. In a world of fast-moving technology and isolation, parents today know what it feels like to experience powerlessness. Yet, scripture reminds us that discipleship doesn't give us control; it calls us to love faithfully, set wise boundaries, and trust God with those we cannot save on our own.

The God who heard Hagar crying in the wilderness is the very same God who goes with our loved ones where we cannot follow.

Sometimes the laughter that begins in disbelief becomes, by God’s grace, the laughter of joy.

This Sunday, we heard Sarah’s story—a story of waiting, doubt, hope, and God’s surprising faithfulness. In the midst of an impossible promise, God asks a question that still speaks to us today:

“Is anything too wonderful for the Lord?”

Join us for worship as we explore how God meets us in our waiting, our questions, and even our skeptical laughter—and transforms them into joy.

As we wrap up our Rainforest Falls VBS adventure, our hearts are full of gratitude. This week, we discovered that God is our Creator, God knows us, God is our safe place, and God is love. We sang, played, crafted, learned, laughed, and grew together in faith.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, generous families, and amazing children who made this week so special. You brought energy, kindness, curiosity, and joy to every part of VBS.

As we head home, we pray that the lessons of this week stay rooted in our hearts:God created you.God knows you.God is your safe place.God loves you—always.
Thank you for joining us at Rainforest Falls. Until next time, keep looking for God at work all around you!

Day 3 at Rainforest Falls VBS was full of adventure, laughter, and reminders of God's love!

Today we learned that God is our refuge—our safe place when we're scared, worried, sad, or uncertain. Through Bible stories, games, music, crafts, snacks, and time with friends, our children discovered that God is always with us and that we can turn to God no matter what.

We are so grateful for the incredible volunteers, families, and children who make this week so special. Watching these young disciples learn, grow, and have fun together has been a joy.

As we head into our final day tomorrow, we give thanks for the ways God continues to care for us and guide us.

"God is my safe place, and God takes care of me."

Day 2 at Rainforest Falls VBS was another incredible day of learning, laughter, and adventure!

Today our children discovered that God sees our hearts. We talked about how God knows us completely—our thoughts, our feelings, our hopes, and our dreams—and loves us every step of the way.

From energetic games and creative crafts to music, Bible stories, and new friendships, our rainforest explorers had a wonderful day growing in faith together.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers and families for helping make VBS such a special week. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Day 1 at Rainforest Falls VBS was full of wonder, discovery, and fun!

Today we traveled all the way back to the beginning of the Bible and learned that God is our Creator. Our children explored the story of creation through Bible adventures, rainforest games, crafts, music, snacks, and hands-on activities. We celebrated the amazing world God made—from the sun and stars to the animals, plants, and people.

One of our favorite reminders from today was that because God created us, we are wonderfully made and deeply loved.

We are grateful for our children, volunteers, and families who made Day 1 such a success. We can't wait to continue our rainforest adventure tomorrow!

God is our Creator!

What does it mean to follow God’s call?

In Scripture, Abram leaves everything familiar. Matthew leaves his tax booth. Neither receives a detailed plan—only an invitation to trust God and take the next step.

The same is true for us.

God’s call doesn’t always arrive with certainty. Sometimes it comes as a nudge, an opportunity, a new beginning, or an invitation to trust more deeply than before.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the stories of Abram and Matthew and reflect on where God may be calling us today.
