Overnight help is available... check on your neighbors!

🏠Overnight Shelter Available!🏠

In partnership with the American Red Cross, our building at 110 South Second Street will be opened as an Overnight Shelter due to flooding across our community. Shelter is available for displaced individuals and families, or those at risk from flash flooding later tonight. Resource Navigators and Red Cross volunteers will be on-site to help community members work through this difficult time.

🕕Opening at 6:00PM on June 27th for overnight stay
1️⃣One night only - Resource Navigators and Red Cross representatives will help displaced families explore long-term arrangements.

Don't wait! More rain overnight will cause more flooding. The longer you wait to evacuate, the longer it will take first responders to reach you. Check on at-risk, elderly, or vulnerable neighbors so they can get to safety!

A huge thanks to many partners who are collaborating to see our community members taken care of: City of Richmond KY, Madison County KY, First Baptist Church of Richmond, Richmond House of Prayer, Encounter Church, all local first responder agencies, and numerous individual volunteers.

In light of conditions in Richmond and the use of our worship space for emergencies, Encounter Church will NOT be meeting for worship on Sunday, June 28 as usual. But church is not cancelled. Instead, you are SENT to serve your neighbors and those in our church family that are cleaning up. John 13:15.

The prophet Elijah wins big. And then runs far. It's a burnout cycle we've probably all experienced. Elijah prays for God to take his life. Instead God gives Elijah what he really needs.
