Though we see bread and wine, we know Christ is fully present with us — Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity — in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

May our devotion to the Eucharist be renewed and our worship reflect this truth!

As we continue through the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we entrust ourselves to Jesus’ merciful and loving heart.

May this month and our diocese’s consecration to his Sacred Heart draw us ever closer to him.

St. Anthony of Padua, patron saint of the poor, travelers, and lost items, gave up a life of riches and power to be a servant of God.

He responded to God’s call with zeal and with sacrificial love for our Lord. May we respond to God’s calls in our own lives with the same zeal as St. Anthony.

St. Anthony was named a Doctor of the Church in 1946.

Both our diocese and the U.S. have been consecrated to the Sacred Heart, and on the solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, we celebrate Christ’s endless love and entrust ourselves to him.

May Jesus’ love transform our own hearts, that we may be inspired to spread his love to those we encounter.
