Carol Hess and Pastor Sarah L. spent part of last week at Lutheridge Camp in North Carolina for the kickoff event to a new ELCA program called Curious Christian Children.

Our congregation is one of eleven across the ELCA to participate in this cohort dedicated to the inclusion of children in worship and prayer, especially children with disabilities. We will spend the next 9 months celebrating all that our congregation has done to already include children so well, while also learning about new ways that we can foster an even deeper sense of belonging for all the little ones in our community!

While we spent most of our time in extensive learning and getting to know the other participants, there was time for walks around camp to enjoy spring flowers and a hike off-site to catch the mountain vistas.

We are excited to see how the Spirit will work through this program and our church community!
