Happy Labor Day from Greater Joy Community Church!💚💛

Today, we honor the hard work, dedication, and contributions of workers everywhere. Your commitment helps strengthen families, communities, and the world around us.

As Colossians 3:23 reminds us, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”

Thank you for all that you do. May your Labor Day be filled with rest, gratitude, and joy!

Today, Pastor Shamara B. Haynes reminded us from 1 Corinthians 1:1–9 that God is not waiting for us to have it all together before He meets us.

In her message, “Grace for Messy People,” we were reminded that just like the church at Corinth, God can step into messy places and still do something powerful.

Bring your “Corinth” to God—He already knows, He still loves you, and His grace is still enough. 💚💛

What a powerful word today at Gravel Hill Baptist Church!

Our Pastor, Rev. Shamara B. Haynes, preached from Romans 10:14–15 with the message:

“A Church With Shoes On”

We were reminded that the church was never meant to just sit inside the building—we’ve been called to GO! 🙌🏾

👟 Go where the people are.
👟 Carry the Good News.
👟 Serve beyond the walls.
👟 Be the hands and feet of Jesus.

The Gospel needs a church that is willing to put its shoes on and take the message of Jesus into the community!

As we move into our final Rest Sunday, Greater Joy is taking worship beyond our walls! This Sunday, we’re excited to celebrate "Be The Church Sunday” as we join our friends at Gravel Hill Baptist Church for their Missionary Sunday.

Our very own Pastor Shamara B. Haynes will be bringing the preached Word, and we’re asking ALL of Greater Joy—members, family, friends, and supporters—to come out and worship with us!
