Please pray! 🙏

Today, Guyana needs our prayers.

The Church of the Nazarene in Guyana invites the entire Mesoamerica Region to join in prayer following the sinking of the MV Barima on July 18.

According to the Government of Guyana, 76 people were rescued, 73 lost their lives, and 30 remained missing as of July 26.

“We ask our brothers and sisters throughout the Mesoamerica Region to join us in prayer,” said Pastor Timmy Spencer.

Let us pray for the families facing this painful loss, for the survivors, for those still awaiting news, and for the teams continuing their work.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18).

Take a moment to cry out to the Lord for those going through times of fear and uncertainty, for those grieving the loss of a loved one, for the medical and rescue teams, that they may be strengthened and guided by God, and for the Church of Christ, that together it may bring help and extend its hands in support and solidarity.

We stand with you, our Venezuelan brothers and sisters, and with our sister region, South America.
