MCC Richmond Faith Community We are a welcoming, loving, inclusive, progressive, community dedicated to sharing God's love. Today, UFMCC encompasses more than 200 congregations worldwide.

MCC Richmond is a Christian church that began in 1978 to serve the spiritual needs of all people, including Virginia's Le***an, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. Because we believe God made us and loves us as we are, we embrace all who want to hear the message of God's all encompassing love. At MCC Richmond, we celebrate the diversity of Christian traditions past, present, and yet to be rev

ealed. Our goal is to create an affirming environment where everyone feels welcome and all are empowered as ministers to serve. MCC Richmond is a part of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, a worldwide fellowship of Christian congregations. UFMCC was founded in 1968 by the Reverend Troy Perry to meet the spiritual needs of the LGBT community. MCC Richmond is governed by an elected Board of Directors who oversee all financial and administrative aspects of the church. We are located in the historic Fan District of Richmond, Virginia.
