Saints Constantine and Helen Cathedral

Saints Constantine and Helen Cathedral Newcomers and visitors are always welcome at Saints Constantine and Helen. We hope this page will help you learn more about our parish and its ministries.

Above all, we hope you will personally visit and pray with us on any given Sunday. You will discover a welcoming Church family, an ancient yet dynamic Orthodox Christian Faith, and perhaps even a spiritual home where you and yours may want to plant roots and expand your relationship with God and others. To become a member in the Greek Orthodox Church requires a valid (i.e. Trinitarian) Christian B

aptism and an Orthodox Christian Chrismation. If you are new to our area and are a member of an Orthodox Church, a letter verifying your previous membership from your former priest is recommended. If you are interested in learning more about Orthodoxy, we suggest your contacting our priest to set an appointment. He will provide guidance based upon your particular circumstances. Welcome packets offering helpful information about our parish are available. If you plan to visit our Church, they are available in the narthex from a member of our Welcoming Committee, who will assist you with any questions. If you would like to have one mailed to you, please contact the church office.

Some of the young adults of the community made a trip down to Williamsburg Thursday evening and met up with others from Williamsburg, Norfolk and Virginia Beach. We were welcomed by Fr. Milton Gianulis the proistamenos of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Williamsburg. Fr. Milton spoke about the beautiful iconography in the sanctuary and the theology behind it. After, there was some great food and fellowship at a local Greek restaurant before returning home! If you are interested in getting involved with the young adult ministries of the cathedral, reach out to Dean Tiggas - [email protected]
