VFWC was birthed in the heart of Dr. Russell T. Johnson in 1984. The first church location was on Grantwood Road in the Forest Hill section of Richmond with only the Pastor, his wife and daughter. VFWC ministers to youth through our Academy ( Victory Academy ) Revivals, Youth Summits, and other outreach activities that minister to the entire family. VFWC is also an outreach ministry that reaches i

ndividuals in our community through our Food Pantry, Charitie's Angel Tree, Financial Counseling, Homebuying Seminars and much more. Men and Women have been ministered to through various teaching sessions conducted by Drs. Russell and Sheary Johnson along with invited guests. The family has been the main focus of the ministry, as this is the first institution created by God and is the basis for all training and emotional stability. Dr. Sheary Johnson is the Jurisdictional Supervisor for the Fourth Jurisdiction of Virginia in the Church of God In Christ.
