Congratulations to Principal Robin Hester on her Installation at Resurrection Lutheran School in Cary, NC, and her Commissioning as a Minister of Religion—Commissioned in the LCMS! After completing the Colloquy Program through Concordia University, St. Paul, Robin joins the Synod as a commissioned minister, reflecting her faithful commitment to Lutheran education and ministry. We give thanks for her years of service and leadership at Resurrection and pray God's continued blessings on her vocation!

Does Martin know we have this many pictures of him? No. Does he know he will be missed? Absolutely.

Pastor Martin Schultheis has been an immense gift to our staff and our district, from his years of faithful pastoral ministry at Emmanuel Lutheran in Baltimore to his vital role as Chief Ministry Officer here at the SED.

He may be leaving us with some tears, but he has also equipped us tenfold with skills rooted in compassion for the ministry God is calling this district to ahead.
We are deeply thankful to God for blessing this district through the gifts of our dear friend and brother in Christ. And we have no doubt that the people of Trinity Lutheran in Portland are about to be richly loved and cared for.

And not to worry, along with our prayers he is also taking something else with him: a hard-earned love for coffee, cultivated right here in our office. Portland will appreciate that.
