The Church and Parish Office is closed Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day.

"Almighty God, you have so linked our lives one with another that all we do affects, for good or ill, all other lives: So guide us in the work we do, that we may do it not for self alone, but for the common good; and, as we seek a proper return for our own labor, make us mindful of the rightful aspirations of other workers, and arouse our concern for those who are out of work; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen." – Book of Common Prayer p. 261

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will host the annual Pride Eucharist sponsored by churches of the Richmond regions of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia on Friday, September 11th at 6:30 p.m. This joyous occasion gives the wider community an opportunity to celebrate the lives and witness of LGBTQ+ people in the church and the world. The evening's preacher will be the Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson, who served as Ninth Bishop of New Hampshire from 2003 to 2013. A festive reception will follow in the large fellowship hall. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Episcopal Church affirming that LGBTQ+ people have a full and equal claim to the love, acceptance, and pastoral care of the church.

Interview with True American Woodworks on GHTC Sanctuary Ceiling

An investigation began in May to explore our sanctuary’s ceiling. This work was handled with the utmost care and is now complete. We were grateful to conduct an interview with Kenneth Cauthorne and John Fielden, from True American Woodworkers. By watching the interview, you will feel their passion and love for their craft. Thank you, Kenneth, John, and to all of the contractors that helped throughout the investigation.
