Let me introduce you to Thomas Cravens. He is doing great missionary work. I have asked him to explain where and what he has been doing.

Esperanza (where I am going) is a ministry based in Shiroles, Talamanca Costa Rica that focuses on community outreach. They are a public space that includes a synthetic and grass soccer field, a playground, board games, and more recently a private bilingual school named El Nispero. They have weekly services where they preach the word, Bible studies, youth group, and kids ministries. They do a program called Alpha a few times a year. Alpha is a video series designed to introduce people to God, his character and the gospel. They also host yearround soccer tournaments for the community which helps get people coming and spending time in a Christ centered culture. Esperanza, which means hope, is ultimately focused on showing Christs love to the community of Shiroles through words and deeds and extending His kingdom through the sharing of the gospel.
