Assalamu Alaikum,

Muslim Night with the Richmond Kickers has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 14th. It's the last home game of the season and it's a great opportunity to join the community and have fun while supporting youth activities throughout the region. Join the community in Section 111 starting at 5:30!

Due to the inclement weather forecast for this weekend, we will be postponing Muslim Night with the Richmond Kickers. Insha'Allah we're working with the team to reschedule to October 14th. Updates coming soon!

Saturday, September 23 is the second annual Muslim Night with the Richmond Kickers! Last year, we had nearly 50 community members show up and enjoy the game together. The game starts at 5:30 PM and everyone is invited to join the community in Section 111.

Proceeds will go to support youth activities throughout the Richmond area. If you're interested in supporting the cause but can't make it to the game, you can purchase and donate tickets by sending them to [email protected]. Meet Jihad, one of the camp counselors who will be serving at the 2023 Muslim Youth Camp! Jihad is an in-home counselor and founder of Suhba, a youth group that promotes a sense of community for young Muslim girls in the region. We're incredibly fortunate to have Jihad on the team!

This Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30PM, the ICVA Youth Group is meeting to discuss Allah's divine attributes, Al-Hakeem (The Wise) and Al-Hakam (The Judge), and how knowledge relates to judgment and justice.

The ICVA Youth Group is open to all boys and girls, ages 13 and up!

This Thursday is the next session in the Summer of 99 youth group series at the West End Islamic Center! We'll be discussing the relationship between knowledge, wisdom, justice, and judgment through an exploration of Allah's Names, Al-Hakeem wa al-Hakam.

The WEIC Youth Group is open to all boys & girls, ages 13 and up.

After many years, the overnight camp for Muslim youth (boys and girls, grades 8-12) is returning on August 18-20 at Pocahontas State Park!

This year's theme is an ayah from Surah at-Takwir:

Fa ayna Tadhhabun

"So where are you going?": Finding Purpose & Direction in a World of Distractions

Allah poses this question to all humanity in Surah at-Takwir after proclaiming the truth of the Prophet's mission. It stands as a call for believers to live a life of purpose, constantly aware of the direction in which they are heading.

At the Muslim Life RVA Summer Camp, we will challenge our youth to explore their purpose and chart a direction for their life in a world of ever-increasing distractions.

Registration is $150 and includes park admission, accommodations, meals, and activities. Those interested can fill out the form at the link below, and you will be contacted to complete registration. Assalamu alaikum!

The summer youth group series at ICVA is starting this Thursday!

"Mankind was created in the image of Allah," as related by the Final Prophet, and achieving our potential lies in understanding our Creator. Allah revealed himself to humanity through the revelation and gifted us the 99 Beautiful Names through which we could come to better know Him, and ourselves.

This summer our youth will come to know the attributes of Allah and reflect on how that knowledge can shape them into better human beings. We will consider ways to practice compassion, explore our creative instinct, and ponder the relationships between knowledge, justice, and judgment.

Join us for five interactive sessions throughout the summer and elevate your relationship with Allah. At the end of the summer, kids who manage to memorize all 99 names of Allah will be entered to win a grand prize!

This week, we examine the many Names of Allah that have to do with compassion, forgiveness, and mercy, with the intent of having the youth explore ways they can practice greater compassion in their own lives.
