Calling on The Living Room Collective— we have a mutual aid need. There’s a young lady and infant in a domestic abusive environment and we are looking for resources to get them out and provide immediate basic needs.

I’m learning that becoming isn’t built in one big, life-changing moment.

It’s built in a thousand small decisions.

Choosing rest over burnout.
Choosing nourishment over neglect.
Choosing movement over excuses.
Choosing habits that align with the life I’m praying for.

And yes… sometimes that looks like reaching for a cleaner caffeine option when I need a little extra umph. Not because I need to be perfect, but because I’m trying to be intentional about what I put into my body and avoid the crash when I can.

Stewardship isn’t always glamorous.

Sometimes it looks like what’s in your cart.

Sometimes it looks like what’s in your cup.

And sometimes it looks like simply choosing what serves the life you’re trying to build instead of the life you’re trying to survive.

I’ve been sitting with this question from The Salt Eaters by Toni Cade Bambara:

“Are you sure, sweetheart, that you want to be well?… Just so’s you’re sure, sweetheart, and ready to be healed, cause wholeness is no trifling matter. A lot of weight when you’re well.”

And I just got my second wind. 🙌🏾😩💃🏾

“Break the loop today or the pattern will repeat tomorrow.”

For me, today, the pattern was a bathroom that needed cleaning. 😂

It’s funny how the little things in life can become reminders of bigger truths. The tasks we avoid don’t magically disappear. They wait for us tomorrow, usually a little bigger and a little harder than before.

So here’s your reminder (and mine): send the text, make the appointment, fold the laundry, clean the bathroom, start the project, say the prayer.

Sometimes growth isn’t about doing something extraordinary. Sometimes it’s just breaking the cycle of putting things off.

Now excuse me while I enjoy this clean bathroom for the next 7 minutes before somebody touches everything. 🫠😂
