Tested and Proven.

God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” Exodus 13:17, NLT

When the Israelites were in the desert on their way to the Promised Land, God didn’t take them the easiest way because they weren’t prepared for war. The longer route with the delays and difficulties wasn’t because God wanted to make their life miserable. He was getting them ready for enemies that would have defeated them, imagine that!

Having to deal with hardships, not knowing what they were going to eat, people coming against them, was all strategic. That was growing them up, making them stronger. God knew they needed that to go into the Promised Land.

The reason you are facing difficulties, the reason things tmmay not seem fair, is because God has an awesome future in store for you! This is a time of testing. Trust me when I tell you, where God is taking you is going to take greater faith, greater strength, and greater patience. Every challenge you face RIGHT NOW is a sign that God is getting you ready for something BIGGER & BETTER! So I encourage you to have a new and positive attitude, have a new perspective.

That’s how you grow. That’s how you become mote stronger, more confident, more patient, more loving, more forgiving. God's got this, and God's got you! Let's pray!

Abba Father, thank You that our faith and trust are anchored in You and thank You that Your mighty power is at work in our lives, even at this very moment!

Thank You that we are not moved by the tests and troubles we face because we know that You are making us stronger. We declare and decree that we am coming overcomers in the name of Jesus, yes we are victorious!

Have a super blessed Friday, walking in victory! ❤️

Desatar nudos - Max Lucado

Untying Knots - Max Lucado

Most of us had a hard time learning to tie our shoes. Tightening shoes by wrapping strings together? Nothing easy about that. Who came up with the idea of shoes anyway?

My friend Roy used to sit on a park bench watching kids gather and play at the bus stop. One day a little fellow struggled to board the bus, frantically trying to disentangle a knotted shoestring. He grew more anxious by the moment. All of a sudden it was too late. The bus door closed. With tear-filled eyes he looked at Roy on the bench and asked, “Do you untie knots?”

We never outgrow the urge to look up and say, “Help!” And when we do, who shows up? Jesus, our next-door Savior. Go ahead, ask him: “Do you untie knots?” “Yes,” he will say.

What a perfect message for this Wednesday morning! Have a wonderful day! ❤️

Me sobresalté. Me inspiró.

As We Behold Him

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “We all with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness…” As we behold him, we become like him.

It’s a principle I experienced first-hand when an opera singer visited our church. He sat right behind me. He tried to contain himself, but how can a tuba hide in a room of piccolos? I was startled. Inspired. Emboldened by his volume. I lifted mine. Did I sing better? No. But did I try harder? No doubt. His power brought the best of me.

Could your world use a little music? If so, invite heaven’s baritone—Jesus Christ—to cut loose. Who knows? A few songs with him might change the way you sing!

Have a terrific 😊 Tuesday as you "cut loose" for Jesus today! ❤️
