The Pastor’s Heart

2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

I would take like a moment to encourage everyone to take time to remember and honor those who have given their lives that we may be free.

The Apostle Paul in writing to Timothy encourages this same sentiment in regard to our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember how that Jesus died that we may have life in Him and liberty from sin. Not only did Jesus die but He also rose from the dead, giving all that believe in Him victory over sin and death. Remember Jesus!

The Pastor‘s Heart

Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

No one goes to the doctor because they are feeling well. The physician exists because people get sick. The doctor must often bear bad news and good news. The bad news is your sick, the good news is we have a plan.

Jesus is the Great Physician that brings us the same sentiment. The bad news is, we’re all sick. The good news is, He came to save us. Jesus is clear and straight to the point. If you’re lost, He came for you. Let the Great Physician save your soul and heal your heart.

PASTOR JAMES PAGE LAMB

Reverend James Page Lamb, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and devoted servant of God, passed on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Savannah, Georgia on Wednesday, June 30th, 1948, James graced the world with his steadfast faith, generosity, and unwavering dedication to family and community.

A longtime resident of Brunswick, Georgia, James was a man whose impact reached far beyond the pulpits from which he preached. He dedicated the latter part of his life to serving as Pastor at Richmond Hill Full Gospel Church, Georgia, building on a spiritual journey that spanned 24 years at The Potters Wheel Pentecostal Holiness Church. His call to ministry was marked by compassion, understanding, and a sincere commitment to his congregation.

James also found fulfillment in his work outside the church. With a career that included 20 years as a Manager at Allied Universal Corporation and 13 years as a dedicated school bus driver for special needs children with the Glynn County Board of Education, he was known for his kindness and a perpetual smile that could brighten even the stormiest of days.

He relished life’s simple pleasures — fishing, hunting, working outdoors, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family and grandchildren who brought him immense joy. James was the heart of the Lamb family and leaves a legacy enriched by cherished memories and moments shared.

James is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dianne Lamb; his beloved children, Jerry Page Lamb and Tricia Dianne Lamb, both of Brunswick; and his treasured grandchildren: Tiffany, Trevor, Jacob, Zoey, Jayla, Harley, Kelsey, and Paige. His legacy lives on through his two great-grandchildren, Keaton and Dayton, and his extended family, including three sisters-in-law, Dale Holcombe and her husband Kenny of Black Creek, Darlene Conley and her husband David of Pembroke and Debbie Holcombe of Warsaw, NY and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Elton and Beatrice Lamb, and his dear sisters, Annie Ruth McCline, Nell Rowe, and Bell McLamb.

To honor James’s remarkable life, a visitation will be held at Richmond Hill Full Gospel Church in Richmond Hill, GA, on Monday, February 23rd, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 pm. A burial service will be held at Union Cemetery in Springfield, GA, on February 23rd, 2026, at 3:00 pm.

Arrangements are under the compassionate care of Flanders Powell Funeral Home & Crematory. James Page Lamb may no longer walk this earth, but his spirit, love, and teachings remain with us eternally.

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved pastor, Bro. James Lamb. He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, February 18th.

Pastor Lamb faithfully served our church with unwavering dedication, compassion, and love. His leadership and God-given heartfelt sermons touched countless lives and strengthened our faith as a congregation. He was not only our pastor but also our friend.

During this time of grief, we hold fast to the promise found in the Bible that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life devoted to God and to God’s people.

Details regarding memorial services and ways to support the family will be shared soon. We encourage everyone to keep Pastor Lamb’s family in your prayers as they navigate this difficult time.

May we honor his legacy by continuing to walk in faith, love, and unity.

We got a call around 3:30 this morning. We needed to get to church. Someone ran into side. Praying on way that nobody was hurt. Got there and you could only put your hand between car & church. This man was running 130 mph from the law. He has 18 counts against him. So he really didn't want to be stopped. Thank you Richmond Hill Police. God stopped this car just in time. Sometimes in life we worry about things. But God always shows up on time. Only by God's hand this man didn't hit church. Remember he always shows up on time. Never give up on what you are waiting for. His time is perfect
