Devotional: Week of June 1st, 2026
Life is Short
There are several scriptures that remind us that life is really short and the truth is that it might be shorter than we think. For instance, James 4:13-16 says it this way: "Come now, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit' Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes."
There may be those who we have said something or did something to that tarnished a relationship, but we really didn't mean the words that came out or ever meant to hurt them. Maybe it has been a while now and we want to tell them the truth but are waiting for the right time. Something may happen to us or them that would prevent our intentions from ever happening.
Life is too short for us to wait any longer; we don't want to live the rest of our lives with regrets. So, plan a visit or make a call today, while there is still time to do the right thing.
