Recovery only works when we are honest about our hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
Healing requires more than simply acknowledging our pain, it requires us to lean in, stay present, and engage with the discomfort that comes with growth and change.
Recovery happens when we are willing to look honestly at what is broken, take responsibility for our part, and do the hard work of working through it.
Many of us have learned to minimize our pain, change the subject, make excuses, distract ourselves, or run away and deflect when difficult emotions surface. Those coping mechanisms may help us avoid discomfort in the moment, but they also keep us stuck.

Freedom is found when we stop running from the truth and start facing it.
When we bring our struggles into the light, we create space for God to heal what we've tried to hide.
You can't heal what you won't acknowledge. You can't change what you won't confront.
Recovery isn't about perfection.
It's about honesty, courage, and the willingness to keep showing up, even when the process is uncomfortable.
