Improv Workshop for Middle School Students!

Woodlake Lutheran Church is excited to pilot a 4-week improv workshop for students currently in grades 6–8.

Improv is a fun, low-pressure way for kids to build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and friendships. No theater experience is required. We are looking for students who have a willingness to try something new and have fun!

The workshop will be led by Ellie Harstad, an improv performer and instructor with years of experience. Ellie creates a welcoming, encouraging space where students can take creative risks, make new friends, and unleash their creativity.

We will be meeting in our beautiful new youth wing!

Details:
-> Tuesdays: July 14, 21, 28, and August 4
-> 6:30–7:30 p.m.
-> Woodlake Lutheran Church, Richfield
-> $60 for all four sessions

Enrollment is limited to 10 students. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to be considered, we ask all interested families to complete this form. We will contact families by June 21 to confirm enrollment or placement on the waitlist. If additional spots become available, waitlisted students will be offered enrollment in order of form submission date.

This Sunday is Holy Trinity, where we will witness the beautiful light of God as well as share the light of God with others. We have a marvelous worship service planned with Monica Livorsi Music and Band leading music as well as a dramatic reading of the gospel.

RALY celebrated its last Wednesday of the 2025-2026 program year this week. Continuing with tradition, we ate pizza, named our favorite RALY activities (Art Night, Urban Air, Lock-in, and more!), and played hide and seek. We shared ice cream cake and summer plans then gave gratitude certificates featuring NASA's land satellite photos, a reminder that we are part of Creation and hold unique perspectives beyond this space. HOP + WL = Crosstown Lutheran Church!

After years of praying and dreaming together, the members of House of Prayer Lutheran Church and Woodlake Lutheran Church voted over the weekend to officially unite as one congregation under the name, Crosstown Lutheran Church.

The name, Crosstown Lutheran Church, represents our physical location, the uniting of our congregations, and the cross being at the very heart of our life together. But it’s not about the name itself, rather the community gathered to worship God and serve God’s people. Crosstown will contain our memories and our future together. Vibrant worship, community collaboration, and faith formation will be our next chapter at Crosstown Lutheran Church in Richfield, Minnesota.
