Some sad news today. Our beloved confrere Br. Benet Tvedten OSB passed away last night on his beloved St. Patrick's Day at the Richardton Health Center after a long illness. Br. Benet was a talented story-teller and author in addition to working with Benedictine Oblates at both Blue Cloud Abbey and Assumption Abbey. The Vigil will be held on Monday, March 23rd at 7 pm and the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 24th at Assumption Abbey. We want to extend our great, great appreciation to the staff at RHC as well as the wonderful Hospice staff - they are all a true blessing. May perpetual light shine upon him.

Some sad news this week. Our Fr. James Kilzer, OSB passed away on Saturday. He had cancer. He is greatly missed and was such an intelligent and hard-working monk. The Vigil service will be held in the Abbey Church on Sunday, February 15th at 7 pm (MT) and the Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 16th at 10:30 am (MT). When a monk passes, a place setting with an upside-down plate and his napkin-ring is set and will remain for 30 days. May perpetual light shine upon him.

We have also received potatoes and other vegetables from friends of the Abbey - of which we are very appreciative. Having a lovely fall day - and may yours be blessed.
