We aim to pair young adult counselors with campers who have special needs on a one-to-one basis. Camp ReCreation was founded in 1975 as a Christian summer camp for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This life-changing experience takes place at the Richardton-Taylor High School in Richardton, North Dakota. Camp activities may include, but are not limited to, group activities l
ike crafts, music, games, and faith formation, as well as special events such as bowling, swimming, a dance, carnival, picnics, live entertainment, fireworks and a bonfire. Camp Recreation is always looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of camp. We need counselors, teachers, day and night nurses, cooks, task force, general volunteers, and more. General volunteers can include bus drivers, individuals who are willing to help with registration and checkout, banquet staff, etc. Camp ReCreation greatly appreciates anyone who would like to donate baked goods or food items during camp. We ask that you please bring all items to the kitchen at Richardton-Taylor High School during the dates of camp. If you would like to donate food items for meals, please contact the office for more information on how to help. Thank you.
