A group dedicated to encouraging research, restoration, preservation and protection of the historic Jacob Routh Pioneer Cemeteries on the border of Richardson and Plano.

Mary Carson was born February of 1812 in Dandridge, Tennessee and she married George W. Drake. He was born in Jefferson County, Tennessee in 1807. They married in 1831 in Dandridge. George and Mary had seven children, all born in Tennessee. Some time after their last child was born in 1852, they migrated to Richardson, Tx. George was a farmer. In 1862, he joined the 15th Texas Cavalry and fought at Murfreesboro and Chickamauga. George died in 1869 and Mary died in 1887.

Little Alma's stone always touched my heart. Every time it rained it was covered in mud and debris. It was deteriorating at a rapid pace. It was one of the last stones that was restored.
