Grace Communion Richardson is committed to know Jesus and to make him known through worship, fellowship, and community outreach by the power of the Holy Spirit. We desire to
be a pathway of the grace and trinitarian love of God with each other, and with our community as we let the light of Jesus shine through us. Our values are the foundational principles upon which we base our spiritual lives and pursue our mission to know Jesus and to make him known. Those values are expressed in the following areas of emphasis:
- We value our theology! We appreciate the motivating theological understanding that God as Father, Son and Spirit is Incarnational, Trinitarian and Response-oriented in his love relationships. This understanding and its awesome implications motivates who we are and what we do
- We value worship! Jesus is the source, object, and mediator of our worship to the Triune God. We value the privilege of prayers and praises to God as our grateful response to the sovereignty, goodness, and love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We recognize true worship as reflected in daily life and coming from the heart
- We value diversity! We recognize our shared humanity and redemption in Jesus Christ the vicarious human and are welcoming to all no matter our gender, ethnicity, class, or background. We accept our unity in Jesus and our role as participants in Jesus’ ministry of reconciliation
- We value family and fellowship! We seek opportunities to care, share, and serve one another, showing love to one another and inviting others to join in the fun!
- We value children and youth! We join Jesus in cherishing them as our present and future. We seek opportunities to help them grow in knowing Jesus, knowing themselves, and becoming the best that God has planned for them to be in fun, enjoyable ways
- We value community outreach! We believe we exist as a church to reach out to our community and help meet the needs that God enables us to meet. We believe we are to join Jesus in sharing his wonderful, beautiful and inclusive gospel, life, and love with our community
- We value resting in Jesus! We strive to be a church community that joins Jesus in providing rest, wellness, and freedom to those who are wounded in heart or are broken-hearted
- We value hospitality! We believe that one of the marks of a disciple of Jesus is to be hospitable and welcoming of others, being inclusive in supporting, sharing, serving others in compassion and love. We extend to others the grace God so abundantly bestows on us
