The Eye of the Eagle
In our busy, highly scheduled world, we must learn how to get still, quiet ourselves within and without, deafen our ears to the clamor of the world, as we choose moments of rest, quiet, and solitude with the One we say we love! We run on “fumes”, when He would provide “fuel”! Therefore, this is a reminder that we need to feed on Him daily. Now, it is unhealthy to try to live on “spiritual snacks”, which only give momentary energy and fail to eat our full provision at the banqueting table of the Lord.
You and I need chosen times of “closet prayer”, where we withdraw from the normal things and choose to “feed” on the Lord. Simply get alone—where you are never alone—get alone with Jesus. Can’t you hear His Voice, “Come away with Me, My Beloved…Be still and know that I am God!” Amen. Be blessed!

The Eye of the Eagle
Remember its Pentecost! In the Old Testament it was an appointed day to honor the Lord with the firstfruits of the harvest season. In the New Testament, after the Resurrection, before Jesus ascended to heaven, He commanded His disciples to not leave the city, but to assemble together and pray for the promise of the Father…The Baptism of the Holy Spirit. They returned to Jerusalem with expectation as they entered the upper room. In unity and agreement, they devoted themselves steadfastly to prayer.
On the day of Pentecost, 120 were gathered in that room, when God sent the sound of a roaring wind and flames of heavenly fire, which immersed the house and rested upon every person in the gathering. In Acts 2:4 we read, “And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues) as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression (in each tongue in appropriate words.”
Fast forward to this day! Is it not time for believers to gather in unity of steadfast prayer again? Looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith. God has not changed! His power has not diminished! The same Holy Spirit is our portion! Come on Church…Seek the Lord while He may be found …Band together in unity, until the Roaring Wind out of Heaven and the Fire from His Altar invades the church again! We must be changed, if we are to change our world!
It is Harvest Time…Praise Him for ALL He has given! Be immersed in His Power…Be strengthened by His Might…Be equipped and GO into the fields. Don’t be distracted by the sounds and sights of the enemy. Lift up your eyes and behold the Glory of the Lord. Receive the Fresh Call…Join Him with Empowered Prayer…With eyes focused on Him, we move into the harvest fields. We must demonstrate the Power of the Holy Spirit…it’s the Way the Church began and it is the Way the Church will finish! Pray! Believe! Unify in His Altar! Let’s turn the world upside down again!!!! Amen!

The Eye of the Eagle
There are bold headlines this Easter week: Jesus is alive! As believers, we are joyfully celebrating the power of His Resurrection! Death could not hold Him! Amen!
I am reminded of a passage in John 11. Jesus was with his disciples, when he was brought a disturbing message from Mary and Martha. “Lord, the one You love is sick!” Indeed, Lazarus was very sick—but his healing was on the way. Immediately after receiving this news, Jesus waited for the timing of the Father. Then Jesus told the disciples that Lazarus was dead. However, His Healer was on the way.
In Bethany, all human hope for Lazarus was gone. But the Answer was coming right on time! Jesus was not with Mary and Martha when they prepared the body of Lazarus for the tomb. He was not yet there, when the body was laid to rest and the rock was rolled across the tomb entrance.
When Jesus arrived, a grieving Martha ran to Him. She cried, “If only You had been here!” Jesus answered, “I am the Resurrection and the Life.” In a matter of moments, Lazarus was called forth from the grave and totally restored to his sisters.
What measure of Resurrection Power do you need today? The Risen One hears your cry! Psalm 34:17 declares, “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of their distress and troubles.” He’s an on time, rock moving, victorious Lord for our needs too. Trust God’s Answer—Jesus is alive!
