Meet our newest Lighthouse Member, John You - “I grew up in a Christian home like most people, going to bible study, fellowship events, worship nights, and etc but never really grasped the idea of God or what he has actually done for me. It was when I was in middle school where we went to a joint winter retreat where I began to ask myself if I really was a believer. Meaning if I believed in who He said He was. That's where a sister came to me and started praying for me and I asked her "how do you know if you are saved" and she asked plainly if I believe that Jesus came and died for my sin. That's where I felt the most conviction, to be honest, and said I do and that I will give Him my life. I started attending Sunday service in July this year and quickly joined House Church co-shepherded by T and Hannah. I look forward to serving our brothers and sisters.”

Meet Christina Kim, our newest Lighthouse member! “Hi, my name is Christina and my family and I moved to the Dallas area during the summer of 2020 from NY. I “grew up” in the church since I was a child and was a part of Korean American Presbyterian Church of Queens in NY. I served as a youth group teacher for Sunday school and helped out at church with various events. Going to church was a routine and it wasn’t until I went to my high school retreat where I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. It’s been so comforting to be loved and have God to lean on through all the good and troubled times. As a new member, I look forward to being used by God to serve and strengthen our Lighthouse family to fulfill our mission to reach the lost and make disciples of all people together.”

Meet our newest Lighthouse Member, John!
“Hello, my name is John Kim and I was born and raised in NY. I grew up in the church and attended with my younger brother and mother. I attended Sunday school and all the other extra “courses” (bible study, discipleship, leader training, etc.) but it wasn’t until high school that I accepted Jesus as my Savior. My family and I moved to Texas last summer and we started attending Lighthouse virtually and joined a House Church in the Fall of 2020. My wife (Christina) and I decided to take the membership class as our next step to formally join Lighthouse. We look forward to serving our church body in various capacities in our days ahead.”

Meet our newest Lighthouse member, Tiffany Jeong. “Hi, my name is Tiffany and I am currently working and getting my masters in accounting at UTD. I grew up in a Christian home but received Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was a freshman in high school at a youth retreat. I started joining Lighthouse in June 2021 after trying out Joe and Esther’s House Church. I decided to take the membership class because I want to commit myself to this body of Christ at Lighthouse and grow together with the rest of Lighthouse family. As a new member, I hope to serve others by helping everyone feel safe and welcome at Lighthouse.”

Meet our newest Lighthouse member, Peter Kwak! “Hello, my name is Peter Kwak. I originally grew up in a Christian family, but it wasn’t until when I was in 8th grade that I decided to take my faith seriously, and accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I started joining Lighthouse last year around September, initially through Community Group gathering before we transitioned to House Church, and later started to join Sunday service. I decided to take the Membership class at this time to concretely accept Lighthouse as my home church, and support and serve this body of Christ to the best of my abilities. I look forward to getting to know the rest of the Lighthouse family, and to walk together as members of God’s family!”

Meet our newest Lighthouse member, Ashley Shin - “I grew up in a Christian home all my life. It was custom for me to attend church, bible study, etc every Sunday morning. Because my grandma and uncle were both pastors, I felt inclined to serve the church as a duty to my family. It wasn't until my junior year that I found a deeper relationship with God. I joined Lighthouse during the fall of 2020. In the midst of the pandemic,I felt distant with my relationship with God. I wanted and needed the fellowship of others to help me spiritually during these times. I started attending the weekly Community Groups and felt the overwhelming love that God had for the group and for me. I decided to take the Membership Class to commit myself to the Lord I look forward to cultivating my relationship with God and other Lighthouse members. I want to help build a space for all people to come find rest and love in His presence.”
