This Week at SC || Hope in the Dark: God, Where Are You?

Why doesn’t God seem fair? Why does He sometimes seem silent when we’re crying out for help? Why does He allow injustice and suffering when we know He has the power to do something about it?

This week, we looked at the prophet Habakkuk and the honest questions he wrestled with when the world around him didn’t make sense. His name means to embrace or to wrestle — and sometimes, faith means doing both.

📖 A few reminders from Sunday’s message:

• God can handle our honest questions. Wrestling with God doesn’t mean we’ve lost our faith. We can bring Him our doubts, frustrations, and questions while still choosing to trust Him.

• God can use what we go through. James 1:2-4 reminds us that trials produce perseverance and help mature our faith. If God is allowing it IN my life, He has a plan to use it FOR my life.

A committed believer can both WRESTLE with honest questions and EMBRACE a genuine faith in God.

We may not always understand what God is doing, but we can keep bringing our questions to Him and trusting that He sees what we cannot.

❤️ We also had the privilege of celebrating Pastor Appreciation Month this week! We are so grateful for our pastors, their hearts for God, their leadership, and the love and care they pour into our church family. Thank you for faithfully serving and shepherding us. We love and appreciate you more than words can say!

Holiday Hope is about more than Christmas gifts. It's about sharing God's love and bringing hope to families.
Through Holiday Hope, parents and guardians get to personally choose gifts for their children, take them home, and experience the joy of giving on Christmas morning.

Last year, we helped 300 children, and we're praying to do it again!

Every gift matters, no matter the amount. Whatever God places on your heart to give can help make Christmas brighter for a family.

Fabric sheets
Bleach
Deodorants
Toothpaste
Disposable Wipes
Hair brushes/ Combs
Socks: M/W
Men's Underwear: S,M,L,XL,2XL
Women’s Underwear: S

Items can be dropped off during Hope Center hours (M&Th 6-9 PM, W 1-3 PM) or drop them in the donation bins just inside the doors on Sunday.

This Week at SC || You Asked For It

Does the Bible teach parenting? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

This week, we continued our You Asked For It series by looking at what God’s Word teaches us about parenting. Pastor Switz talked about some common mistakes we can make along the way.

Sunday evening, Simple Church joined with 7 other churches as we came together for Kingdom Worship Night! Not only was it an amazing evening of worship, prayer and ministry. But we were able to celebrate our partnership with VMN to build and plant a church in Nicaragua with a check for $10,000.00!!!!!

Join us this Sunday at 10 AM as we continue growing together at SC! It’s a brand new series starting and you won’t want to miss it. 🙌

$50. One Child. A Christmas Filled with Hope.

For many children, Christmas morning is filled with excitement, surprises, and gifts under the tree. But for some families, making that happen can be a struggle.

That's where Holiday Hope comes in.
Through the generosity of people like you, we're working to make Christmas a little brighter for children in our community.

$50 provides Christmas gifts for one child.

Last year, together, we blessed 300 children. This year, we're hoping to do it again!

Every gift matters. Every child matters. And every act of kindness helps us share the love of Jesus in a meaningful way.

Holiday Hope launched in 2020, Holiday Hope partners with local schools and organizations to identify families in need in the city of Reynoldsburg. Each year, we support around 300 children in our community by providing $50 worth of gifts per child.

Throughout the month of October, 100% of Difference Makers donations will go directly toward Holiday Hope!

Our goal is to raise $15,000 so we can provide Christmas gifts to 300 children in the Reynoldsburg area.

Every gift brings us one step closer to making Christmas a little brighter for a child in our community.
