Today we celebrate the homegoing of our brother Tye Bailey. Our prayers and condolences are extended to Christina, Serayah, Tyrome, Austin, Adian, Byron, Jamale, Jerett, Chery, Harry, Susanne, and Jonathan. The Apostle Paul declared, "to be absent from the body" means that we are at home with the Lord. We believe that our real lives begin when we leave behind these earthly forms. Tye will be missed, but we do not mourn as those who do not share our blessed hope, for he is merely absent on this side of glory but present in the presence of Jesus.

Why Does the Church Exist?

We live in a time in which most non-believers, and even some Christians don’t know why the Church exist. Does the church exist to provide us motivation and messages to help us cope with this sin filled world? Does the church exist as place where we can watch other people perform and entertain us in a clean and wholesome way? Does the church exist to teach and ground our children in the Christian faith, while we get a desperately needed WORD for ourselves? Does the church exist in order for us to have a clean, comfortable and familiar place to fellowship and love on one another?

Though all valid reasons; however, these aren't the reasons Christ built, organized and commissioned the Church.
