The height difference is a challenge. Being there for each other shouldn’t be. 😂

We’ve been talking about why we need community and what it looks like. This Sunday, we’re taking it a step further: what do people see when they look at ours?

Jesus said people would know we’re His disciples by the way we love each other.

That means how we treat one another matters. Who we include. How we respond when someone’s struggling. Whether our friendships make room for someone new.

Before someone ever asks us what we believe, they may already be noticing how we love.

We’re continuing our COMMUNITY series with “Your Community = Your Witness,” and we’ll talk about how our life together can help others see Jesus.

You probably still remember something encouraging someone said to you.

But they may not even remember saying it.

“I’m proud of you.”
“I noticed how hard you worked.”
“I know it’s been tough. I’m here.”

A few words can help someone keep going when they’re ready to give up. But how often do we think something good about someone and never actually tell them?

This Wednesday, we’re starting our new series, THE POWER OF WORDS, with a message about encouragement.

We’ll talk about celebrating someone else’s win, showing up when things aren’t going well, and helping each other keep following Jesus through both.

God calls us to build one another up. We have opportunities to do that every day, and we don’t always know how much someone needs it.

🎃 It’s also PUMPKIN SPICE NIGHT! All our snacks will be pumpkin-themed, so pumpkin fans, this is your night.

Bring a friend, come hungry, and let’s become people who say the good things out loud.

You can be in the same room every week and still feel like nobody really knows you.

So what turns a group of people into a community?

It’s how we listen. How we care for each other. How we make room for someone new. And whether we follow through when someone needs us.

This Sunday, we’re continuing our COMMUNITY series with “What Is Community?”

Last week, we talked about why we need each other. This week, we’ll look at examples from the Bible to explore what community looks like and how we each help build it.

What happens when laser tag takes over RCC? We’re about to find out. 🎯

Lazer Kraze is coming to us this Saturday! We get to spend two hours playing laser tag in the same place we meet for youth group, worship, and small groups. How often do you get to invite someone to that?

So bring a few friends along! All 6th–12th graders are welcome, and we’d love to have you with us.

Wednesday night is looking a little different this week! 🎉

We’re trading our normal Wednesday night youth group for BINGO NIGHT, and we’re bringing everyone together for it!

From preschoolers to high schoolers, we’re taking over Kirsch Hall for a night of bingo, food, prizes, and some pretty great grandparent outfits. 👵👴

That’s right. Dress like your favorite grandparent! We’re expecting some cardigans, reading glasses, and maybe a few pairs of orthopedic shoes. 😂

There’s a difference between having people in your contacts and having people in your corner.

People who notice when something’s wrong.

People you can be yourself around.

People who encourage you, challenge you, and show up when life gets hard.

God never designed us to do life alone.

This Sunday, we’re kicking off our new series, COMMUNITY, with a message called “You Can’t Do It Alone.”

We’ll be talking about why our relationships with God and each other matter, and what it looks like to build friendships that help us grow in our faith.

And if you’ve never joined us for Sunday Small Groups before, this is a great week to start. You don’t have to know everyone to belong here.
