💦 VBS WATER DAY 💦

This Sunday, we’re celebrating an amazing week of VBS!

After church, we’ll have water slides, a dunk tank, and lots of fun for the families who were part of VBS this week.

Forge and Hub students, we’d love for you to stick around as we celebrate with the kids and families we’ve been serving all week.

We all have people who influence us.

Friends.
Teammates.
Classmates.
Social media.
Family.

The question isn’t whether you’re being influenced.

The question is who you’re trusting to lead you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord rather than leaning on our own understanding.

That’s easier said than done.

Especially when everyone around you seems to be going a different direction.

This Sunday we’ll continue our Sink or Swim? series as we talk about trust, influence, and what it looks like to follow God when life puts different voices in front of us.

One of the things I love about the Psalms is that they don’t pretend life is simple.

Some chapters are full of joy.
Some are full of questions.
Some are written by people who are struggling, waiting, celebrating, doubting, trusting, and learning to follow God.

In other words, they sound a lot like us.

Tonight we’re kicking off our new series, Summer in the Psalms, beginning with Psalm 1 and a conversation about where we look for wisdom.

Summer has a way of changing our routines.

School ends.
Schedules shift.
Vacations happen.
Life gets busy.

And before we realize it, the things that helped us stay connected to God can start to drift to the background.

Not because we planned to walk away.

Just because we stopped paying attention.

In 1 Peter 5:8, we’re reminded to stay alert.

This Sunday, we’ll continue our Sink or Swim? series with a conversation about what it looks like to stay close to God when life gets busy and distractions are everywhere.

We’ll spend time together over lunch, have discussion groups, and talk honestly about how to keep growing in our faith throughout the summer.

See you Sunday!

Summer is full of choices.

How you spend your time.
Who you spend it with.
What gets your attention.
What shapes your heart.

Most of those decisions probably won’t feel very significant in the moment.

But they add up.

This Sunday we’re kicking off a new series called Sink or Swim? and starting with a question from 1 Corinthians 10:31:

Where are you planning to invest your time this summer?

We’ll spend time together over pizza, have discussion groups, and hear from Pastor Bill and Pastor Dave during a time of questions and prayer.
