Very, VERY sad to hear of the passing of John Pottkotter tonight. Truly a blessing to SPX, he was a huge advocate of ministering to and involving the youth of the parish. RIP, John! 😢

This Sunday, July 28th, is GAME NIGHT at St. Pius X! Come for Food, Faith, Fellowship and Fun from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Monsignor Funk Center. Bring your friends, your Olympic Spirit and a snack to share for our own Olympic Event Trials - SPX Style!

I could not love this group of seniors more! They have consistently arisen to the challenges this crazy world has presented them over the past 4 years, and continue to give witness to the Gospel using their MANY gifts exceedingly well! At every Mass at SPX, we recite our Vocation Prayer, and pray for "enthusiastic youth" who are "strong in their faith, and bold in their actions." SPX boasts so many accomplished high school grads this year that I can't help but believe our prayers are being answered! Specifically, I feel the need to spotlight the seniors pictured here as I have gotten to know them well thru their involvement with our youth ministry program. They are truly an incredible group of teens who have used their many gifts exceedingly well!

Ella, Andrew, Jake, Abigail, Nick, Luke, Jenna, Julia, Nathan and Emerson - Thank you for consistently rising to the challenges the world has presented you and for continuing to give witness to the Gospel thru it all. I feel so honored to have been a small part of your high school journey.

Well done, young church - I cannot WAIT to see the things you and God will accomplish together!!!
