It is in times of crisis that your discover the people who claimed to be your friends are actually your back-stabbing enemies, i.e., Brutus joining the senatorial assassins of Julius Caesar on the Ides of March, and that people you thought were only peripheral acquaintances, are actually your best friends. As they say, it is time to fish or cut bait, and I have said goodbye to those who only work discord and acrimony, smiling while carrying out Satan's work.

Vanessa and I recovered from the melee, with the beautiful wedding of my granddaughter, Alexis Jordan Marlowe and Zach Marlowe (Who I will call Mr. Alexis Jordan Marlowe, LOL...not REALLY, Zach)

Yesterday we had a peaceful splendid lunch at BJ's, watched The Inheritance (I highly suggest this movie), went to Mass at 4:30, came home and had a wonderful evening. Today we are going on a cook-out, somewhere, wherever thew highway takes us, without a thought to the coming week with all of its potential stress.

Proverbs 10:18 says, “Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.”

Backstabbers are fools because they are rejecting honesty, love, reconciliation, and kindness. They are defying Jesus' Golden Rule:

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matthew 7:12) and instead say, "Do unto others before they can do unto me."

Judge Dismisses Classified Documents Case Against Trump, reported 7/15/2024, and in decision says special counsel was appointed in violation of the US Constitution.

Not too far down the road from Truro Twp. Cemetery , on US 33 between Logan and Pomoroy, is Athens, one of the Top 10 haunted cities in America. Athens, Ohio

This Ohio University town is home to the Athens Lunatic Asylum, a mental institution open from 1874 until 1993 and known for its lobotomy practices. Now a university-owned property called The Ridges, the building has its share of haunted stories, say many amateur researchers: disembodied screams, apparitions that walk the halls, and a ghostly bloodstain on the floor. Throughout campus there are several haunted dorms, sororities, and fraternities.

Haunted Experiences: Hike The Ridges' nature trails and explore its three cemeteries where headstones eerily bear patient numbers, not names. On the OU campus, officials have reportedly sealed off Room 428 in the Wilson Hall dormitory due to hauntings by a female student who was killed there, according to local legend. The West State Street Cemetery's Angel of the Unknown Soldiers has been known to shed a tear or flutter her wings when people pass by.

The tragic su***de of a mourning bride has left a sad and sometimes unfriendly specter at Charlesfort, in Cork, one of Ireland's most famous ghosts: The White Lady of Kinsale.

According to legend and famous Irish ghost story goes, one of the fort’s soldiers married a local girl and they stayed at the fort for their wedding night. The soldier had watch duty that night and a bit drunk from the day’s celebrations fell asleep.

Other soldiers in the fort found him asleep while on duty and following the protocol of the day, shot him at his post. After hearing about her husband’s death, the bride flung herself to her death from one of the fort’s walls.

Decades after the tragedy, The White Lady was seen wandering through Charlesfort by soldiers and their families, especially children. Two sergeants were packing up some equipment when one man’s daughter asked who the White Lady smiling at her was. Both men saw nothing, but the girl was adamant that a woman in a white dress had been looking at her. In another story, a nurse saw The White Lady standing over the bed of a sleeping child.
