Today I had the honor of ripping the runway alongside my good friend, Tonya Kelly of Empower Our Youth Foundation, during the City of Reynoldsburg’s Juneteenth celebration.

Not only did Tonya coordinate an incredible fashion show, but together we stood in agreement to celebrate culture, excellence, and the limitless potential of our children. This was more than a fashion show it was advocacy work. Through fashion, mentorship, encouragement, and community engagement, we spoke life over the next generation, empowering them to walk boldly, confidently, and purposefully.

Advocacy looks like showing up. Advocacy looks like creating opportunities. Advocacy looks like reminding our youth that they are seen, valued, and capable of greatness.

I am grateful to be positioned for such a time as this to serve, to lead, and to pour into the lives of children and families in our community. It was a beautiful reminder that when we invest in our youth, we strengthen our communities and help shape a brighter future for all.
