The RMBGRC was proud to present the Mario Pagnoni Memorial Trophy to Team Stringi, aka The Sand Fleas!

The committee must also thank everyone who helped us with this year’s tournament:

Mike, Adrianna, and the crew from City of Revere Parks and Recreation Department for providing the equipment and handling the logistics of the tournament;

FINE LINE for preparing a delicious post-tournament spread for our players and staff;

Steven Capano, aka The DUDE, for creating the perfect vibe with a wide range of tunes;

And of course those who generously donated to sponsor teams and our players: Patrick Keefe For Revere Mayor, Don Martelli for Revere, State Senator Lydia Edwards, Jeff Turco for State Representative, John Kingston, Ed Deveau, Kim Lyons and family, Toby Pearlstein, Frank Stringi, Richard Viscay, Elle Baker, Ralph DiCicco, and Jon Sargent.

We do this to take care of the Rumney Marsh Burial Ground, Revere’s only cemetery, which is located on Butler Street. RMBG is open daily, weather permitting. Anyone interested in a tour, be it personal or for a group of any size, should reach out to the committee at any time.

Some free spots have opened up in this year’s bocce tournament on August 22nd thanks to a few generous sponsors. If anyone is interested in playing send us a message ASAP!

Our tournament is about a month away, which means you still have plenty of time to sign up and take part in a fun day at the beach that helps preserve local history. You don’t need to be a bocce expert, all skill levels are welcome and you can pick the game up pretty quickly!

The buy-in per team (4 people per team) is $200, and all proceeds go towards restoration projects at the burial ground. If $200 is a little steep, there may be limited opportunities to play as a team sponsored by a donor. If you’d like to take part or just have questions about the tournament send us a message here or at the email on the flyer.
