Throughout Scripture, God continually reminds us of His promises to Israel and His faithfulness to keep them.

From the prophets to the present day, God’s Word points us back to His enduring covenant with the Jewish people and the land of Israel.

Habakkuk 3:17,18,19 —Though the fig tree does not bud and no fruit is on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the sheep are cut off from the fold and no cattle are in the stalls, yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation! GOD the Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like those of a deer; He makes me walk upon the heights!

These words from Habakkuk remind us that no matter what we can rejoice in our Lord God. Even if ... we can rejoice. Do we have the faith to trust God in the midst of failing crops, loss of income, adult children who turn their back on Jesus and their families? Is our faith strong enough to say, Even if ... Lord, I have faith in You that You are working on our behalf?

When we thank the Lord and give Him praise we turn our thoughts to the only One who has an unchanging relationship with us. We get our eyes off earthly circumstances and transfers our thoughts to the King of kings and Lord of lords. God gives us strength for hard paths.

🕊️ The Father waits for the prodigal's return home. And we wait for our loved one's return to the Lord or restored fellowship to the family. Let us wait knowing God the Father waits as well.

There is always a "but God!" God has a plan, and we can be a part through our prayers for them! No matter how long it takes! 🕊️ When the prodigal returns, no speech is needed— it's hugging time! And there is a great cloud of witnesses in heaven cheering on the prodigal’s return. Amen

"The moment in the story of the Prodigal son where the son rehearses his apology speech is so powerful because it highlights the universal themes of shame, fear, and the profound, unexpected nature of true grace."—Overview from Internet search.

Hebrews 12:1—Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.

Some reminders never lose their power.

Love still wins because Christ first loved us. Prayer still works because God still hears. And no matter what you’re facing today, God is still able to do far more than we can imagine. 🤍
