Service has long been an element of commemorating Juneteenth. At St. John Neumann, our Juneteenth Service Project is to support the South Lakes H.S. Food Pantry. It is especially important to support families with nourishing food during the summer months at home.
Their most-needed items are as follows:
Dried beans: red, black, garbanzo, lentils (1-2 lbs packages)
Rice (1-2 lb packages)
Canned tomatoes
Peanut butter (18 oz jar or smaller)
Canned meats (tuna, chicken, or salmon)
Bar Soap
Toothpaste
Feminine hygiene products, especially pads
Bags will be handed out after all Masses again THIS WEEKEND. Please return on June 12. If you picked up a bag last weekend and wish to return prior to June 12, we will receive them in the narthex this weekend.
Also, don't forget to register to attend our Juneteenth celebration! Come enjoy dinner, fun, and fellowship for the whole family at this FREE event. All are welcome! https://www.saintjn.org/racial-justice-ministry
