📖 Sunday Sermon | October 11, 2026

John 1:13–18

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” John 1:14

What a beautiful reminder of God's love for us! Through Jesus Christ, we see the fullness of God's grace and truth. He didn't just tell us about His love; He came to dwell among us and show us firsthand. ❤️

We are thankful for another Sunday spent worshiping together and growing in God's Word!

✨ Sunday Sermon Recap | John 1:9–13 ✨

This morning, we continued our journey through the book of John with John 1:9–13.

Jesus is the true Light who came into the world, yet many did not recognize or receive Him. But John gives us an incredible reminder: to all who receive Him and believe in His name, He gives the right to become children of God.

Our relationship with God is not something we earn through family, works, or our own efforts. It comes through faith in Jesus Christ. When we receive Him, we are welcomed into the family of God.

What a beautiful truth to carry with us this week: because of Jesus, we can be called children of God. 🤍

🇲🇽 Missions Monday | Meet Our Mexico Mission Team

This Missions Monday, we’re introducing the Baker Baptist Church team currently serving in Carrillo Puerto, Mexico!

Each person pictured said yes to going, serving, and allowing the Lord to use them however He sees fit. Some are returning to a place and people they already love, while others are experiencing international missions for the very first time. Each one has a different story and reason for going, but they share the same purpose: to serve others, share the love of Christ, and bring glory to Him.

As you look through the pictures and meet our team, we ask you to pray for each of them by name. Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel, for strength and encouragement throughout the week, for the people they will meet and serve, and that God would work in and through every member of this team.

We can’t wait to see all that the Lord does through them in Mexico!

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19

Our mission team left this morning for Carrillo Puerto, Mexico, ready to serve, love on others, and share the hope of Jesus!

Please join us in praying for safe travels, good health, strength, and protection throughout the week. Most importantly, pray that God will use each member of this team in a mighty way and that hearts will be touched and lives changed through the Gospel.

We can’t wait to see all that God does in Carrillo Puerto this week!

⛪️ Sunday Sermon Recap | John 1:6-8

This Sunday, we continued in John 1 and looked at the ministry of John the Baptist.

John was sent by God with a clear purpose: to be a witness to the Light. He was not the Light himself, but his life and message pointed others to Jesus.

That same reminder is important for us today. Our purpose is not to draw attention to ourselves, but to live in a way that points people to Christ. Through our words, our actions, and the way we love others, we have the opportunity to be a witness to the Light.

May our lives make much of Jesus and help others see Him more clearly. ❤️

This Sunday, we began walking verse by verse through the book of John.

John opens by reminding us of who Jesus has always been: the Word, present from the beginning, with God, and fully God. Everything was created through Him, and in Him is life.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

What a powerful reminder that no matter how dark the world may seem, the light of Christ still shines.

We hope you’ll join us each Sunday as we continue through the book of John together.

Sunday Sermon Recap | Luke 19:11–27

In the Parable of the Ten Minas, Jesus reminds us that we are called to be faithful with what He has entrusted to us.

Each servant was given something to manage, and each was expected to use it wisely. The lesson is clear: God has given each of us time, abilities, opportunities, and resources, and He expects us to use them for His glory.

Faithfulness is not about comparing what we have with someone else. It is about being obedient with what God has placed in our hands.

One day, we will give an account for how we used what we were given. May we be found faithful, willing, and ready to serve.
