Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center is recognizing 140 years of dedicated care to the Spokane region. The Sisters have long been at the center of Sacred Heart's healing touch, dating all the way back to 1886 -- when Mother Joseph arrived in Spokane to design and lead construction of the first iteration of the hospital.
Sr. Rosalie Locati, SP, gave the final address of a commemorative Mass on September 3. She's a cherished piece of the Sacred Heart story herself, having ministered for more than two decades at the Medical Center, including service as the facility’s Director of Mission and Values.
