"Myst'ry Myst'ry!" the Lord proclaimed
"Myst'ry for me and my household"
O Lord, O Heavenly Bridegroom,
We cry aloud, "Glory to you."

Have a blessed Passover!

Glory to God for a soul-nourishing Lenten retreat.

In the midst of the Great Fast, we were blessed to set aside our "earthly cares" and enter into a time of deep meditation and prayer. A heartfelt thank you to Rev. Fr. Varghese Kaleekal (Assistant Vicar, St. Gregorios SFO) for his profound guidance on our Lenten theme:

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?” (1 Cor 3:16)

Rainy Seattle days are better with cocoa and community. ☕️🌧️
We held our first MGOCSM social, and despite the cold weather outside, it was all warmth and gingerbread inside. The best part of the day wasn’t the icing or the candy—it was the fellowship and fun we shared together.
This is just the beginning! Stay tuned for more learning, service, and socials.

Today marks Mid-Lent, the 25th day of our journey toward Pascha. Just as the Israelites looked to the bronze serpent for healing, we look to the Holy Cross in the middle of our church today as our sign of victory and life. Halfway there, let us renew our strength in prayer and fasting.

Looking on the brass serpant
Healed all manner of sickness;
Looking with faith on the Cross
Shall heal us from our sickness
Oh most compassionate Lord
On this account we say:
Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy

Our first FOCUS Bible Study of the year was a truly blessed gathering!

Highlights from the Study:
The Shehimo: We were introduced to the beautiful tradition of the hourly Shehimo prayers

St. Paul’s Letter to Philemon: We delved into this powerful, personal letter, exploring themes of reconciliation, forgiveness, and seeing one another as "beloved brothers" in Christ.

A huge shout out to Megin & Bennie for opening their home and being such incredible hosts

"The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You, and were afraid..." (Ps. 76 LXX)

Blessed Feast of Theophany! 🕊️
We were truly blessed today to celebrate the Great Blessing of the Waters. We are especially grateful for the presence and leadership of Rev. Fr. P. C. George, Vicar of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Michigan, who joined us for this Holy Feast.

As we commemorate the Baptism of our Lord in the Jordan, may the sanctified waters bring healing, renewal, and the light of the Holy Trinity into all of our homes and lives.
