I recently watched country star Eric Church’s incredible commencement speech at UNC Chapel Hill, and his message really hit home. He used the six strings of a guitar as a metaphor for the core pillars of life—faith, family, partnership, ambition, community, and staying true to your original self.
As someone who has proudly lived, worked, and planted deep roots right here in our community for over 40 years, his "B string" message about community resonated with me the most.
