Designed for Mission: A weekend to remember!

For the first time in approximately 15 years, the Nevada-Utah Conference hosted a Youth & Young Adult Rally! September 25–27 brought young people from across the NUC together in Las Vegas for a weekend of worship, friendship, learning, and fun.
Pastor Mitch Aguinaga’s messages connected with our young people, and a meaningful moment came during Saturday evening vespers as several youth and young adults came forward to rededicate their lives to Jesus Christ. Praise God for the work He is doing in their hearts!

The West Jordan SDA Church Praise Team played a pivotal role in creating a spiritual atmosphere for worship. Their heartfelt leadership in music helped draw us closer to Jesus and prepared our hearts to hear His Word. We are so grateful for their ministry throughout the weekend!

Old friends reconnected and new friendships began. Seminars offered practical training and advice on mental health, spiritual disciplines, life skills, and relationships—all connected to mission. The panel discussions sparked so many thoughtful questions that we ran out of time before we could answer them all!

Saturday night’s social was full of energy: basketball, volleyball, board games, popcorn, candy, and plenty of pizza! The young ladies’ free-throw contest and young men’s three-point contest brought some friendly competition, and the raffle giveaways included a pair of Beats Solo 4 headphones as the grand prize.

We closed Sunday morning around the breakfast table, sharing pancakes, prayer, and encouragement, heading home physically full and spiritually refreshed by the Holy Spirit.

Thank you to every young person, speaker, praise team member, youth leader, volunteer, and host who helped make this weekend possible. We’re grateful for what God began and excited to see how our young people carry it into their schools, campuses, workplaces, and communities.

You were created with purpose. You are designed for mission.

Many Churches. One Voice. One Accord.

On September 19, the Las Vegas area church family gathered at Paradise SDA Church for a wonderful evening of music, worship, fellowship, and unity. With nearly every Seventh-day Adventist church in the area represented, the One Accord Concert reflected the strong spiritual community shared among our congregations.

Worship teams from across the valley brought their gifts together to praise God, reminding us of the joy and strength we find in worshiping as one church family.

This evening came together through the collaboration of our area pastors, led by Area Ministerial Leader Pastor Mario Navarro. A special thank-you to Pastor Rodolfo Paredes, who once again did a wonderful job as our master of ceremonies, guiding the program and translating on the spot so everyone could share in the experience.

Thank you to Paradise SDA Church for hosting, to each musician and worship team for sharing their ministry, and to everyone who helped plan, support, and attend this gathering.

God is doing something beautiful among our Las Vegas churches. We are grateful for the relationships growing across congregations and for the shared commitment to worship, fellowship, and mission. May that spirit of unity continue as we grow together as loving followers of Jesus Christ.

On September 19, Pathfinders across the Nevada-Utah Conference joined the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church in celebrating Global Pathfinder Day. Observed annually on the third weekend of September, this special occasion brings clubs together in faith, service, and unity.

NUC Youth Director Michael Jenkins worshiped with the Abundant Life SDA Church, sharing the Word during the worship service and supporting the church’s Pathfinder club at its investiture ceremony later that day.

As we begin the 2026–2027 club ministry year, our theme, “Designed For Mission,” reminds us that God has given each young person gifts and a purpose in sharing His love with the world.

We are grateful for the club directors, staff, volunteers, families, and churches who faithfully invest in our young people. Your dedication helps Pathfinders grow in their relationship with Jesus, discover their gifts, and serve others.

The Youth Ministry leadership of the Nevada-Utah Conference is praying for a blessed and successful year of club ministry. May God guide every club and every young person as we live out His mission together!
