Yesterday we kicked off our conversation on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and one thought kept coming up over and over:

Everybody wants the gifts, but not everybody wants the growth required to carry them.

We live in a culture that often chases power, experiences, and quick results. But God’s Kingdom has always worked differently.

Before manifestation comes maturity.
Before operation comes order.
Before gifts comes relationship.

The Holy Spirit didn’t come simply to give us gifts. He came to transform us into the image of Christ.

One of the biggest takeaways from Sunday was this:

Gifts are tools, not trophies.

They were never given to make us look spiritual. They were given to help people encounter God.

As we continue this series, my prayer is that we won’t just pursue what God can do through us of for us, but that we’ll pursue a deeper relationship with the One who wants to work in us first.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this weekend. We believe God is building something healthy, strong, and lasting.

Ever feel like there’s got to be more?

It seems like a lot of people today are tired of surface-level Christianity, empty religion, emotional hype, and confusion. People aren’t looking for another show. They’re looking for something real. Something that actually changes their lives.

That’s one of the reasons we’re having this conversation.

Today at Soaring High Ministries, we’re continuing our series on the Holy Spirit as we begin exploring the Gifts of the Spirit and what it means to live in the culture of Heaven. Not from a place of performance or hype, but from a place of relationship, maturity, and Kingdom order.

Because the Holy Spirit wasn’t sent to entertain us. He was sent to transform us.

Can I ask you something?

Have you ever noticed that everybody seems to want the power of God, but not many people talk about the character it takes to carry it?

That’s where we’re headed this Sunday.

As we continue our series on the Holy Spirit, we’re stepping into the Gifts of the Spirit. But before we talk about what the gifts do, we’re going to talk about why God gives them in the first place.

The gifts were never meant to make us look spiritual.

They were meant to help people.

We’ll be talking about:

👉 Relationship before gifts
👉 Maturity before manifestation
👉 Why gifts are tools, not trophies
👉 Why Heaven values order, not chaos

Maybe you’ve wondered if the gifts of the Spirit are still for today.
Maybe you’ve seen things that raised more questions than answers.
Maybe you’re just hungry for something real.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

Sometimes we look at our lives and wonder why certain doors haven’t opened yet. Why things seem to be taking longer than we expected. Why we’re still waiting on the thing we’ve been praying for.

The older I get, the more I realize that God isn’t nearly as rushed as I am.

Looking back, some of the things I thought were delays turned out to be preparation.

Maybe God wasn’t saying “no.”

Maybe He was getting me ready.

For the last several weeks we’ve been talking about the Holy Spirit, not just what He does, but who He is. His presence, His leading, His voice, and His role in our everyday lives.

This Sunday we’re taking the next step in that journey and beginning to look at the gifts He has given to His people.

We’re starting with a message called:

⚡ ORDER BEFORE POWER ⚡

🔹Because before God releases power, He often develops character.
🔹Before He entrusts influence, He builds integrity.
🔹Before He promotes, He prepares.

As we begin exploring the gifts of the Spirit, one thing is important to remember:

We are not called to chase gifts.

We are called to pursue the Giver.
Paul says seek after Prophecy for that is to Edify, Exhort and encourage the body.

The gifts matter, but they were never meant to replace intimacy with God.

When we seek the Giver first, the gifts find their proper place.

I think this message is going to help a lot of people who feel stuck, overlooked, forgotten, or like they’re in a season of waiting.

Maybe your current season isn’t a delay.

Maybe it’s preparation.

Maybe God is doing a deeper work in you before He does a greater work through you.

What a powerful Sunday at Soaring High Ministries

This week we stepped away from our Holy Spirit & Gifts series for a moment because there was a deeper question the Lord was pressing on my heart.

What if faith is not always about regaining what was lost but trusting God enough to lay something down?

We looked at Abraham and Isaac from a different perspective this Sunday.

Not just as a story of obedience but as a story of trust, attachment, surrender, and discovering who God truly is in the middle of uncertainty.

One of the most powerful thoughts from the morning was this:
Abraham came from cultures filled with false gods that demanded sacrifice.
But Genesis 22 reveals Yahweh was different.

False gods demanded death.
Yahweh provided life.

And honestly, I think many of us could see ourselves somewhere in that story.

Trying to hold together what feels uncertain.
Trying to control outcomes.
Trying to protect things that slowly became tied to our peace.

But sometimes God will touch the very thing we grip the tightest not to destroy us, but to deepen our trust in Him.

Thank you to everyone who came hungry, open, reflective, and willing to lean into a deeper conversation about faith.

And thank you to our amazing teams, volunteers, worship team, media team, Gatekeepers, and every person who helps create an atmosphere where people can genuinely encounter God.

We love you all deeply.

And remember:
Sometimes the deepest faith is not what fights to hold on It’s what trusts God enough to let go.
