Happy Mother’s Day from Sierra NV Sisterhood 🌸

Today, we honor and celebrate the many beautiful expressions of motherhood and nurturing love. To every mom, spiritual mother, grandmother, mentor, foster mom, bonus mom, and woman who pours love into others…thank you.

We also hold close those for whom today may feel tender. Those grieving, longing, healing, waiting, or carrying silent heartaches…you are deeply loved, seen by God, and not alone in this sisterhood.

May every woman know today that her life has value, purpose, and beauty in Christ. 💕

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
Proverbs 31:25

Friends, please join me in prayer for the Allen family and our District's leadership. My heart is broken, as are so many. Superintendent Bret Allen is with Jesus and walking the streets of gold. May we be encouraged that none of this was a surprise to God and He is in control. Praying for peace and comfort for the Allen family. 🙏

To our family and friends from the Allen Family and the AGNCN Executive Officers...

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Superintendent Bret Allen passed at 10:58a this morning.

First of all, we want to thank you for the way you have rallied in prayer since Friday morning. More than 250,000 have mobilized in prayer, not including the thousands of congregations that led in prayer this weekend. Prayer has sustained us.

Many have asked about the reason for strict confidentiality. Please know that the medical narrative has changed multiple times since Friday morning. The desire was to share what was accurate as opposed to what was unknown and premature.

Early Friday morning, Superintendent Allen suffered a bee sting in his neck while tending to his beehives on his property. Being highly allergic to stings and not fully covered with his gear, he began to run toward the house based upon the need for medication. The release of adrenaline combined with his allergic reaction triggered a heart attack. For the past 72 hours, doctors and medical staff have conducted testing to determine brain function due to the amount of time he was without oxygen.

We continue to call upon our Global Church to stand in prayer with the Allen Family, the Northern California/Nevada Assemblies of God, and the thousands of friends, ministers, congregants, and more that have been impacted by the decades of faithful ministry through Superintendent Bret Allen.

Please know that your calls, texts, emails, and many social media messages have been received with love. We do ask that you continue to respect the privacy of the family and the AGNCN Executive Officers during these moments as they process decisions. Please know that we will be sending out additional information as it becomes available.

With gratitude,

The Allen Family and the AGNCN Executive Officers

Good Afternoon Friends,

Thank you for your continuous prayers. We are asking you all to keep praying. We are still navigating tests throughout a 72-hour period that began Friday afternoon. Updates will continue to be posted as news is available.

We ask that you continue to pray for the many miracles needed, the entire Allen family, and the medical team serving him now. As a courtesy to the family and our AGNCN staff, we would ask that you respect their privacy and simply pray.

Thank you again!

There are moments from this weekend that words simply cannot capture, and these videos are a glimpse into just a few of them.

Worship led by Redemption Church was powerful, genuine, and full of the presence of God. You could feel hearts opening, burdens lifting, and women stepping into truth and freedom. It is always so special to see women come together with one purpose, to seek Him and respond to His voice.

Throughout the day, there was so much joy, connection, and encouragement. From meaningful conversations to moments of laughter, it was a beautiful reminder of the strength and unity we have as sisters in Christ.

One of the most impactful takeaways was the reminder that we are created in the image of God, and not only that, we are a holy priesthood. We carry the righteousness of Christ, and we can stand confidently in that truth and walk it out in our everyday lives.

I am so thankful for what God did in these moments, and I pray these videos encourage you just as much as being there in person did.

God is moving, and I am expectant for all that is still to come. 💛

What an incredible weekend at our “In His Image” Sierra Nevada Sisterhood event! God’s presence was felt so deeply. I’m grateful for His provision every step of the way.

We were especially blessed by our missionary speaker, Tanya Aderman, from Cambodia. Her message reminded us that being created in God’s image is not only a reflection but also a calling. We are a holy priesthood, clothed in Christ’s righteousness, and we can walk that out daily.

I’m incredibly thankful for my amazing team: April Nesmith, Trecy C. Marr, Slyena, and Kayla Allen. Your dedication made this vision a reality. A heartfelt thank you to our Sierra Nevada presbyter, Sister Verna Vetter, for your leadership.

To every volunteer, the men who served from our section, every attendee, and everyone who gave toward missions (Project Sisterhood), thank you. God is moving in the Sierra Nevada Sisterhood, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Thank you Redemption Church for hosting this amazing sectional event for Women's Ministries!
