Remington United Methodist Church currently offers several different ways to worship with us on Sunday morning at 10 AM. We offer an in person service at limited capacity(masks are required and we are socially distanced). If you would like to sit in your car and listen to the service, you can tune to 89.1. Whichever way you feel comfortable attending, we would love to have you join us in service to the Lord.

The experience of the early church on the Day of Pentecost is one of the most mysterious, powerful, and transformative moments in all of Scripture. The disciples are gathered together in obedience to Christ, waiting for the promise of the Father. Suddenly, heaven invades earth. A mighty rushing wind fills the house. Tongues of fire rest upon the believers. Ordinary men and women are filled with extraordinary power as they proclaim the wonders of God in languages they had never learned.
But what is the significance of this dramatic event? Why is Pentecost so essential to the birth and continuation of Christianity in the world today?

Chapter 20 of the Gospel of John recounts some of the most significant post-resurrection acts of our Lord: Christ’s appearance to His frightened disciples, His commissioning of them for the continuation of His divine mission, and His breathing upon them as they receive the Holy Spirit. Yet beyond these extraordinary events, the main purpose of this chapter is clear—to persuade the reader, to instill confidence in the person and atoning work of the risen Christ.

Join us for worship as we explore the fascinating story of doubting Thomas in the gospels. Why does this story appear in the gospels? How does it challenge us as modern day Christians to live more authentic and dynamic lives for Christ?

Today we will have special snacks, made by our talented Lorie Andes, to celebrate our exchange student's last Sunday with us.
