Have you ever wondered what to say when wanting to witness for Christ? You may ask yourself, “Do I have the knowledge or theological background to explain everything?” While the continued growth of wisdom, knowledge and application of God’s Word to one’s life is what God expects of every believer and this does help you communicate the truth of Scripture as it applies to specific needs, He does not expect us to wait until we “feel” we are ready. All God wants is a willing vessel to share the Good News of the Gospel. He is preparing the hearts of people to hear of Christ’s love and forgiveness. What better way to witness than to share your story? As a believer, you are a first-hand eyewitness to what Christ has done in your life. Only you truly know where He has brought you from, where He took you out of and how His love has transformed your life. When you share your story of Christ’s saving grace, you become His witness, His ambassador. He works through your story as you share the Gospel to plant a seed of hope, water an already growing root of the Word, or harvest the lost soul as they give their heart in faith to Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:20 tells us, “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us.” We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” The harvest is ripe and the laborers are few. Do not miss any opportunity to share the story of Christ’s gift of salvation in your life. Come join us for worship at Harvest Church of God as Pastor Darrin shares, “Witness for Christ…Tell them your story”
