Forty days after Easter, Christians celebrate Ascension Day, when Jesus was taken into heaven before His disciples (Acts 1:9). Though often overlooked, this powerful event offers deep encouragement. Jesus didn’t just rise; He ascended to reign. His victory over sin, death, and the devil is complete. As Romans 8:34 says, “Now he is seated in the place of honor at God’s right hand.” That means our future is secure, even when life feels uncertain.
Before ascending, Jesus promised the Holy Spirit and delivered on His promise. The Spirit now lives in every believer, guiding, comforting, and strengthening us daily. Jesus said, “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you” (John 14:16). We’re never alone.
The ascension also points us forward: Jesus is coming back. The angels declared in Acts 1:11 that He would return just as He left. Until then, Jesus calls us to live faithfully, watchful in prayer, grounded in the Word, and active in good works. “You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming” (Matthew 24:42).
And while we wait, we serve. Ephesians 4:7 reminds us, “He has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ.” Your role matters whether you lead, teach, give, encourage, or however the Spirit gifts you. The ascended Christ empowers His Church to carry on His mission.
Be encouraged today: Jesus reigns, the Spirit is with you, your life has purpose, and the King is returning. As Hebrews 4:14 says, “Since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.”
Happy Ascension Day!

SUNDAY: “He Is Risen!”
Scripture: Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” (Matthew 28:6)
Easter morning changed everything. The tomb is empty. Death is defeated. And Jesus kept His word. The angel’s message to the women was simple: Come and see… then go and tell. That’s still our calling today—to experience the risen Christ and share the good news. Whatever you’re facing, know this: Jesus is alive, His promises are true, and hope has the final word.

SATURDAY: “Waiting in the Dark”
Scripture: Matthew 27:57–66
After Jesus died, a wealthy follower named Joseph of Arimathea lovingly placed His body in a new tomb—fulfilling prophecy and honoring the King, even in death. Faithful women watched while religious leaders sealed the tomb and posted guards, trying to stop what Jesus had promised. Saturday felt like the end—but it was really just the middle. Even in the quiet, God was working. And today, we’re reminded that every act of faithfulness matters—because the story isn’t over yet.

FRIDAY: “Love at the Cross”
Scripture: Isaiah 53:5
“He was pierced for our transgressions…” (Isaiah 53:5)
Good Friday isn’t “good” because it was painless—it’s good because grace flowed to us through Jesus’ agony. He took our place. He carried our sin. He absorbed our punishment to give us peace. Jesus didn’t just die—He died for you. Let that truth soak into your soul today.

THURSDAY: “Serving with a Towel”
Scripture: John 13:3–5
On the night He was betrayed, Jesus—knowing He held all authority—chose to stoop low and wash His disciples’ feet. The King became a servant. In that moment, He redefined greatness as humble, self-giving love. He didn’t just teach it—He lived it. And He calls us to do the same. At home, at work, in church—how can we follow His lead and serve like Jesus today?

WEDNESDAY: “Silent, but Still Sovereign”
Scripture: Matthew 26:14–16
Wednesday of Holy Week seems quiet—but in the shadows, Judas was making a deal to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. While the world heard silence, God’s plan was still unfolding. Even betrayal couldn’t stop it. If you’re in a season where God feels silent, don’t confuse it with absence. He’s still at work—behind the scenes, in the stillness, and even through the pain. Trust Him.

TUESDAY: “Teaching Truth”
Scripture: Matthew 21:23–27
On Tuesday of Holy Week, Jesus was confronted by religious leaders who questioned His authority—but He turned the tables and exposed their hypocrisy. They feared people more than they feared God. Jesus didn’t back down or soften the truth—He spoke with authority because He is the Truth. This moment calls us to examine our own hearts: Are we truly obeying God or just going through the motions? This week, let’s welcome His Word—even the hard parts—because His truth brings freedom, not guilt.

MONDAY: “A Cleansing Love”
Scripture: Matthew 21:12–13
On Monday of Holy Week, Jesus entered the temple and drove out the money changers—not out of rage, but out of love for what is holy. He wasn’t just clearing out corruption but calling God’s people back to true worship. The temple was meant to be a house of prayer, not a place for profit. Today, Jesus still wants to cleanse anything in our hearts that distracts us from worship. Will we let Him?

Journeying Through Holy Week Together
This week, we’re stepping into a journey—one post at a time. Each day leading up to Easter, we’ll share a short reflection to help you reset, refocus, and realign your heart with what matters most.
Holy Week isn’t just about remembering events from 2,000 years ago—it’s about letting the story of Jesus shape our lives today. As we walk with Him day by day, here are a few goals to guide us:
Reflect – Let the Scriptures draw you closer to Jesus.
Repent – Allow the Spirit to shine light on what needs cleansing.
Renew – Receive the hope and strength that only the resurrection brings.
Respond – Look for ways to live out Christ’s love right where you are.
No matter where you are spiritually—sold out, worn out, or checking things out—you’re invited. Don’t miss what God might want to show you this week.
Let’s not just get through Holy Week. Let’s be changed by it.
