We are transitioning this page to the PUBLIC forum for "The Village" Reidsville Christian Church moms ministry.

We meet on the 2nd Thursday of Each month at 6pm at RCC in the fellowship hall. There is NO childcare provided. It is a time of fellowship, food, and growing in faith with no agenda. There are no speakers or craft like there has been in previous years with this ministry. We have mom's in all seasons from newborns through HS and beyond! This is not your "potty training" mom's night!

We meet this Thursday at 6pm!

Looking for Educational Resources? Be sure to visit the Rockingham County Schools Parent Resource Centers, located in Eden (1130 Center Church Road) and Reidsville (212 Lawsonville Avenue). Both facilities are open Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. In addition, the Reidsville location is open Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. The Parent Resource Centers, which are funded by Rockingham County Schools and Title I, offer free checkout for Leveled Books (A to Z), Reading Games, Math Games and Activities, Comprehension Practice, and much more. Greetings!

I hope this finds you well!

Fourteen years ago a ministry started at Reidsville Christian Church. Several moms came together to form Reidsville Christian MOPS. A ministry that has grown so much over the years and has allowed many women to not only grow in their faith, but in their motherhood and identity. It truly was a saving grace early on in my motherhood journey as I battled with post-partum and raising children away from family. I have spent 7 years as a part of this ministry and 5 helping to organize it and it became one of the biggest blessings in my life.
There comes a time where we had to pray about the direction of the ministry and the immediate needs of Reidsville Christian and our surrounding community. God has shown us loud and clear the need of a ministry for ALL moms regardless of the season you are in. Whether you are a new mom starting your journey with a baby in utero or a mom with a college age student we are all on this journey together and learning from one another. We need each other. Motherhood is HARD. We need to fellowship with one another. We need to hear we aren't alone and fill our own cups so that we can fill those around us.
God led Betsy Darst and myself together with several other women to simplify and create "Reidsville Christian Moms Ministry." A place of love and laughter, food and fellowship, and a whole bunch of Jesus! A place to fellowship and have acceptance and knowing you are loved and met exactly where you are.
We are having our first gathering on October 14th from 6:00-7:30pm. We will have the fabulous Ashlee Kasten speaking to us and filling our mom cups and enjoying pizza! WITHOUT SHARING!!! We are hoping to pow wow at that point and truly hear from our church moms what they need. How can we fill your cup? How can we recharge your weary motherhood soul?
At this point, we WILL NOT have childcare, but we will be exploring this in the future. We are just in a tough season with the world around us.
We ask you to prayerfully consider this ministry and we would love for you to join us! We are creating a page to keep everyone "in the know" of what is going on and creating an email list for informational purposes. If you would like to be included, please let us know.
