This is the new home of the Archbishop of the Keyan African Church of Jesus Christ. He will have no toilets inside (out houses), No running water (they have to go down the very large hill to get water from the brooking then they have to walk back up this very steep hill and of course no running water.

This house has to be built because the home the Archbishop and his family were living in could collapse at any time. See photo below. This new home will cost about $4000.00, we have remarkably received $3000.

Musings: Have you been a mess the last four or five days

Are your emotions and feelings all over the place. Are you asking what’s wrong? Why am I feeling this way? I’m unsettled, I’m not at ease? I don’t know what’s going on?

I have been feeling this way for days. Everything inside of my has been groaning - oh that’s it my Spirit has been groaning. It wasn’t until now can I understand the very deep discontent I’ve had especially the last four or five days. I feel frustrated, I am grieving, I’m disappointed, I have been emotionally all over the place. Finally I had enough sense to ask the Lord, what’s going on? Why am I not at ease? Why are my emotional all over the place? I was thinking it’s because of the political climate and all the stupidity that is occurring on both sides of this election process. I KEEP ON SAYING TO MYSELF, THIS HAS TO STOP.

I believe we are looking to the future White House for answers when the real answers are in OUR house.

Even as I write this there is this very deep cry within me. Then I remember that the Holy Spirit living within us is praying. Here is how the Amplified Bible puts Romans 8:26 “In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words.”

Then Romans 8:26 in the Passion Bible says: “And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.”

That’s it our Spirit is groaning. The I remembered that twice in the book of Exodus it says that “God heard their groaning”. Here is Exodus 6:5 “And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage”
I began writing this yesterday when I was still unglued. Today about 24 hours later I’ve had a chance to pray in the Spirit and by so doing I still feel the burden but I don’t feel the weight of the burden .

At the same time I know that Jesus said this: Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” What I am suggesting that in the middle of whatever Jesus is calling us to rest in him.

Rest is a promise from the Lord. Exodus 33:14 “And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

I want us to follow the example Jesus left us when He was in the middle of a storm ,Matthew 8:24 ”And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.”

While we have recognized the Spirit in us is groaning we can also know that we are being called to His presence where we can find rest and peace while we carry this burden.

How blessed we are to given the honor of recognizing and carrying God’s burden/heart

I hope that this is helpful...

ROOF UPDATE

I am disappointed to tell all of you that when they went to install the new roof it was discovered that the wall structure of the house could not carry the weight of the new roof.

This means that they will have to shore up the entire structure of the house. Over the years the rain had been leaking into the walls and thus compromising the integrity of the entire structure.

Please pray with me that God will intervene and the additional resources that are needed will be provided…

Thank you for all of your sacrificial help…

I’m sitting here in the early morning hours with so many thoughts and feelings running through my mind. Then I felt the Lord tell me to go to one of the books I have written. The following was taken from More Gems From My Father’s River.

YES, THINGS CAN GET WORSE

Haven’t all of us discovered that when we are struggling and things aren’t going well that even though we are trying to do it right that things get worse? In our natural thinking we think this is not fair, why me, why isn’t God answering my prayer, forget it I quit and numerous other thoughts and feelings.

If you ask me if I enjoy these times my answer is no I don’t. But these are the times I needed to abandon my natural minded way of thinking and put on the mind of Christ. I have to remember that God is working me. He is using circumstances to mold me more into he likeness. To create in me more of his character. And yes, he even is answering our prayers like; I want to be like you, I want people to see Jesus in me, I want to always do it right and a number of other similar prayers.
It is during these times when things go from bad to worse I have to remember that God is working in me:

Philippians 2:12-13(NCV) “Keep on working to complete your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 because God is working in you to help you want to do and be able to do what pleases him.”

That God is always with me:

John 8:29 (NKJV) “And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”

He is even with me when things get worse. When we look at Joseph’s life we see he has a dream about his future. After he shares it his brother sell him into slavery. Often after we see a glimpse into our future or God gives us a promise all “hell” breaks out because the devil will throw everything at us.

Genesis 39:1-2 (NKJV “Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. 2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

Did we see that even though he was sold into slavery God was with him and Joseph seized the opportunity to do what’s right. Next Joseph is falsely accused of sexual misconduct wife the wife of the man he was serving. Here is what is written:

Genesis 39:21 (NKJV) “But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

Though things get worse God was with him and he finds mercy and favor while in prison and then we read:

Genesis 39:22-23 “And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.”

Things can go from bad worse but we must seize the opportunity to grow, do do whats right in spite our feelings or circumstances always reminding ourselves that though I might not see it or feel it God is with me and working in me.

Hi PB we met with ArchBishop yesterday on the site to plan.

Unfortunately the walls of his house are already collapsing due to ageing and rain wearing. I guess this could have collapsed on him in the next month or two

We have bought today materials for roofing to start a new structure. Fortunately he has lots of trees we can fell to get timber and poles for the new structure

Trees will be fell and split tomorrow so the new structure will start on Thursday

Setting up of the new structure will start on Thursday God willing

Repairing roof is not an option in this case.

The funds you send will get the new structure somewhere good

Will update you but Friday on progress made

God bless you so much for the timely intervention

URGENT NEED
ROOF NEEDS TO BE REPLACED

I received a phone from Archbishop Xakayo O Obunga whom I work beside in Kisumu and Katamuga, Africa. It is now the rainy season and water is poring into his home and is in danger of collapsing.

Here in America it would cost multiple thousands of dollars, There, the cost of replacing his entire roof is $2000. Basically its wood and tin.

I know it’s a BIG ASK - but I know we can be an answer to his desperate prayer.

I have Cash App, Venmo, PayPal and of course checks made out to BWM.

Thank you for allowing me to ask - pb

Musing: The first question in the Bible

Interestingly the first question continues to be the same question from God’s throne today?

The answer is Genesis 3:9 “Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”

Where are we? As we look across the landscape of Christianity that is the clear voice from heaven. Where are we? Perhaps one of the more difficult things is to be able to look at ourselves and really answer - Where are we?

Does my heart beat the same way His heart beats? Do I think the way He thinks? When I think of these things I remember with great joy:

Lamentations 3:22 (AMPC) “It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not”

I use to read Romans 7:24 and think Paul was just casually saying he was a “wretched man”. But I’m beginning to catch a small glimpse into the depth of what Paul was saying in Romans 7:24 (AMP) “Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence]?”

I’ve concluded that in order for me to really see myself I need a change in the way I think.

Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”

I have concluded that behavior modification doesn’t work that it requires me/us to give God our permission to change us

Romans 12:2 (ERV) “Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.”

Lord when people see us we want them to see you. We want people to hear your heart not ours. We want people to hear your voice and not ours. That people would feel your gracious love and affection and then people will know we are your “kids”.

John 13:35 (NLT) “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

This song was written 14 years ago but still our cry:

Tuesday Morning 2:15AM

I am sitting here with a heart that is overflowing with joy and profound gratitude. It’s hard to believe that I just spent 5 days in the hospital surround by the Lord’s presence. To be sitting here cancer free my heart is full.

Filled with gratitude and affection for all of the love and support I am blessed to received from all of you.

Actually I have worship playing in the background and tears have filed my eyes - OH LORD MY WORDS FALL SHORT BUT YOU SEE MY HEART. You see all of our hearts. Oh how He loves us and how He works through each one of us. We are not ordinary people but extraordinary people. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is in each of us.

I remember Saturday late morning waiting to be discharged from the hospital. I sat there with worship playing, my arms lifted up and tears running down my checks praying that everyone there staff and patients alike would come to KNOW HIM…

Oh Lord draw us closer…

the POWER of Christ's healing anointing that will change your life forever.

From Bishop Chris Lusweti:

Greetings pastor Brian I just want to update you on the progress after the conference, the conference blessed more than 250 pastors and church Leaders from different churches together, this year conference was unique because not only equiping pastors but we also found that your teaching on love was very powerful because after the conference our brothers and sisters who had issues with one another came together and reconciled and ask each other forgiveness which really touched my heart, i have never seen people accepting their mistakes and repenting to one another like this, this is one of the most powerful conference,we had also many people who came to the conference when they were sick but left healed completely many miracles happened during the conference, also the prophecy was accurate praying for each pastor during the conference wasn’t easy i was very tired but God gave strength to accomplish the mission for more than 2 hour praying foe each leader wasn’t a joke but after prayers many tetified that each prophecy you spoke was accurate, praise God,the prophecy was also accompanied by healing ,there was a pastor who came to the conference with both legs had problems,he was using sticks but left totally healed in Jesus name i really thank God for connecting me to a true man of God like you our ministry together will help to empower many pastors followed by signs and wonders which will change many lives, Most of the pastors who attended the conference have been calling me testifying the power of God during the teachings and they are also teaching their church members to practice this same message of love and many families have reconciled with each other after practicing the message of love, this is the power of the true gospel of the kingdom We are praying for God provision we must preach the gospel weather we have little resource or many resources the gospel must be preached,We a brought many pastors from denominations together to unite the body of Jesus Christ because we are one family of Jesus Christ,we want to encourage each other know the truth despite of our denomination and doctrines, they were united to hear the truth, Your coming to Africa is just like Abraham in Genesis 12-1 God told Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse them and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you,We are proud of you and your ministry work in Africa may the Lord provide for your needs

Thursday From Mercy Hospital

Micah 7:18 says, God delights in mercy. Once again I’m a recipient of that mercy.
As I was in the operating room this morning and as I laid there I felt like I was on a cloud. The sense of peace was indescribable. I began to wonder if I would experience again today what I experienced yesterday. In a moment or two the Lord said to me you don’t need the experience of seeing me like yesterday just know I am always with you. As I was praying about the test to see why I had blood in my stool He said to me you have a small ulcer and you’ll be fine. I saw the doctor a while ago he said to me,”you have a small ulcer and you will be fine”.

Wherever I go I am looking for the opportunity to sow seed and too discern where God is working. The first night here in this hospital I prophesied to a few nurses. Yesterday in the operating room I announced that the Lord was present watching over all of us. Today while in getting prepped in the operating room I prophesied over my attending nurse. Last night I and today I was given the opportunity to share and encourage the wife of the man who had extensive surgery I am sharing a room with. Today we talked about the principal of forgiving, releasing and blessing.

We are so blessed to have a God that loves us and that “HE WILL NEVER LEAVE OF FORSAKE US.” Oh Lord give us the heart of Moses in Exodus 33:15 “
Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.”

Donna flew home today and I will fly home tomorrow. One last thing earlier this afternoon the doctor who told me that I had bladder cancer came to my room to confirm the biopsy was negative and the he proceed to tell me that he was sorry for his confidently telling me I had cancer, In fact he said it twice. I said I like straight talk and that I was confident that I didn’t have cancer. The woman I’ve been talking to commented she had never seen a doctor ever do that. Then she said God has been working in our room.

Praising God for all that He has done and thanking each of you for your love. concern and prayers.

DO WE HAVE A PLACE WHERE WE MEET WITH GOD

We all desire to know God better don’t we? We all are desiring a more intimate relationship with Him. Yet like any relationship we have to spend time with them. Especially quality time. Quick passes conversations, time of just being with one another it all takes time an effort. We have what we call legitimate excuses bt in the end they are just that excuses.

We hear the heart cry of Moses in Exodus 33:13 “show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight.” We hear it again through Paul in Philippians 3:10 “that I may know Him.”

Yes, I can meet with God in my car but the difficulty is that He doesn’t have all of us. We are distracted because we need to focus on the road. He doesn’t have 100% go our attention. Though the time is good and valuable He doesn’t have all of us.

I want to encourage you to have a place where you meet with God at home. I remember in the early 1980’s our dear friend Leslie came to watch our children as we went on our honeymoon some 9 or 10 years later. When we returned from our brief time away she said to me. Every time I pass by your brown lazy boy recliner I am overwhelmed by the presence of God, I said to her, you have found my altar. It would be an interesting study if we studied altars in the Bible. Noah after coming out of the arc the first thing did was build an altar, Jacob awakes from a dream and he builds an altar. Moses is instructed to build the tabernacle of meeting where God would descend in a cloud and He would talk to him face to face like a friend,Exodus 33:11 “So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend”.There are a number of references where the enemies of Israel would tear down their altars (interesting).

Encouraging all of us to have a place where we can meet with God. I find quiet worship creates an atmosphere for our meeting,
