We are honored to share that all donations from this year’s play will go to support Emerson Jones.
Today, Emerson is facing an incredibly difficult journey. She lives with multiple rare and complex medical conditions that affect nearly every part of her body. Over the past year, she has undergone major surgeries and continues to battle daily health challenges, including severe complications with her digestive system that require ongoing medical support and care.
It is with great honor that we get to support Emerson, 19, through our Easter show this year because Emerson’s story is deeply connected to the stage. Her love for theater began at the Lourie Center, where she first stepped into the spotlight — and from that moment on, it became her second home. She has brought joy, passion, incredible talent, and heart to every role and to countless productions over the years, even performing on the very same stage where Into the Light will take place. The stage is where Emerson truly shined. It was where she felt most alive and most herself. Her most recent performance was Aladdin during her senior year of high school — the same year her health began to decline.
Despite everything she is facing, Emerson’s strength, faith, and love for others continue to shine through. She has always had a heart for caring—whether through her dream of becoming a nurse or her passion for helping animals—and now it’s our turn to care for her. Make sure to stay updated on Emerson’s story through their Facebook: Hope For Emerson.
We invite you to come, support, give, and continue to be part of something bigger. Make sure to get your tickets for what will be a powerful and meaningful show that directly supports Emerson and her journey. We also ask that you begin praying—not only for the success of the show, but for Emerson in the days leading up to it and in the weeks that follow.
